Very excited to share our newest publication!
In a 6-month follow-up, we analyzed changes of cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms in people with #postCOVID syndrome who reported subjective cognitive complaints at baseline🧠🔍

❗️In sum, cognitive performance seems to improve, while neuropsychiatric symptoms remain stable. Post-COVID patients need access to extensive neuropsychological assessments and effective therapies to help improve cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms. 🧠

🔍 Neuropsychiatric symptoms like depressive symptoms or fatigue remained stable; improved quality of life.
🔀 While some remit from depressive and anxiety symptoms, others newly developed relevant symptoms above critical cut-offs (see figure above).
At the last day of #GNC2024#INS2024inPorto, it's my turn to present my poster!
If you are interested in how we can use network analysis to evaluate cognitive domains and improve neuropsychological test batteries, come find me and check it out!

Just arrived at Hamburg ⚓️ for #PuG2024.
I'm very much looking forward to my first @bioDGPs_DGPA conference!
If you're interested in network models of cognitive functioning 🧠, come find me at my poster 👇

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to present my research on Network Neuropsychology at the @amba_lab 🧠 Thanks to everyone for your ideas and thoughts 💡and especially to @MRoheger for inviting me to beautiful Oldenburg with its cute port! 👇
Next stop: #PuG2024 in Hamburg! ⚓️
Posterpreise für #Parkinson-Forschung: Dr. Jörn Nielsen und @DanSchfbg, Abteilung für Medizinische Psychologie | Neuropsychologie und Gender Studies an der #Uniklinik#Köln, beim Deutschen Kongress für Parkinson und Bewegungsstörungen ausgezeichnet. https://t.co/bMyPyhTUzv
On my way home from DPG 2024 in Rostock. I'm taking home new insights into Parkinson's research 🧠, great memories with the whole team of @MedPsy_Cologne and even a Poster Award for my poster on Exploratory Graph Analysis of cognitive functioning in individuals with PD!🏆
Science communication is relevant to all researchers! It was a day full of interesting keynotes, inspiring presentations and great conversations about #SciCom at the #Wisskon24 in Karlsruhe today 💬
Can network neuropsychology distinguish between cognitive states, say normal cognition vs. subjective cognitive decline? Yes! Great work by @NickGrunden finding that "network-specific metrics are sensitive to cognitive performance changes across the dementia risk spectrum" 🧠
Check out our new article in Cortex! With data from @ccna_ccnv and le CIMA-Q, we used network analysis to explore cognitive performance in subjective cognitive decline and across the AD continuum: https://t.co/Vl6nDmt16g…

Yesterday, I was awarded the Nachwuchspreis 2023 ("Junior Award") 🏆 for outstanding theses by the german Society for Neuropsychology (GNP) 🧠 in Berlin! 🎉
Many thanks to the jury, the GNP, and @HogrefeVerlag for providing the prize. It's a great honor! 🙏
Big thanks to @tfblanken, @JulianBurger and Ria Hoekstra for organizing the summer school and to all the other lecturers and assistants for their insights. 10/10, definitely would do it again :)
It was such an inspiring week at #PNASS2023 in beautiful Amsterdam! So grateful I had the opportunity to learn directly from all the network analysis experts and got to know so many great people. Really looking forward to apply everything I learned to my own research 👨💻
