The private sector would have built the TMX expansion project for $7B. The government chased them out of Canada and built it themselves for $35B.

The private sector now doesn't want to touch another pipeline project.
The government is stepping in to mismanage the construction of another project that will cost $45B of taxpayer dollars.

To build the pipeline, the governments also have to spend $20B+ on the uneconomical carbon capture project.

So taxpayers will pay $90B for something the private sector would have done themselves for $20B if the government just got out of the way.

At the Duncan Town Hall, an Iranian Canadian woman concerned about gov't corruption asked Poilievre if he'd pass legislation as Prime Minister that would require a screening for psychopathy for MPs.

He jokingly responds there'd be no one left in Parliament.

On a serious note, he explains the psychological difference between Liberals & Conservatives.

He says Liberals want to control your life, run everything you do, control your money, your speech, your thoughts. He says that is all "driven by egomania."

Conservatives, on the other hand, "want to run a government that does a few things well rather than a lot of things poorly: strong military, solid borders, criminal code that keeps you safe."

And then get out of the way for people to reach their full potential by having maximum freedom.
