Our last AAMRI Rising Star Finalist whose work we're excited to share is Prof Andrew Steer from @MCRI_for_kids. Andrew is a paediatric infectious diseases physician, his research has measurably improved the lives of people suffering from tropical diseases, particularly scabies.
Acute rheumatic fever (ARF) & rheumatic heart disease (AHD) are serious conditions most often occurring in children from priority groups. Today they become notifiable conditions in Vic. This important step will support our public health response & understanding of these diseases.
