I don't know what to tell you guys. We have to expand the Court. If we don't expand the Court, no liberal policy will be allowed to exist for the rest of our lives. That's why Republicans stole the court, that's why rich people pay for justices.
Govern yourselves accordingly.
Apple is not typically first with these kind of products. And these arguments of "well, other company does XYZ for less" are valid. BUT . . . when Apple enters a product segment, it tends to validate that segment. Brings it to the mainstream zeitgeist.
Apple's new AR goggles may be kind of shrug worthy as a consumer tech device (for now), but they will be very useful in manufacturing and industrial settings. For instance, hands free, real-time training.
That being said, that's a general AR use case and not an Apple specific one. Enterprise, manufacturing, and industrial AR solutions been in the works for a while. May not be quite so snazzy and fresh as Apple, but, for those sectors, doesn't need to be.
You'd figure that the billions up billions the industry at large has invested would pay off at some point. But even the baby steps are two forward and three back.
To be clear, at this time and for the foreseeable future, there does not exist any AI model or technique that could represent an extinction risk for humanity. Not even in nascent form, and not even if you extrapolate capabilities far into the future via scaling laws.
