The daughter of a priest in the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine has been revealed to be spying for Russia. Among many other things, she has installed a camera under a church dome to track the movement of Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk.

This is not the first instance of Russian Orthodox priests or their family members spying for Russia. In fact, that whole organization is a veritable spy network, working on behalf of Russia and in other countries where it has branches. Russian Orthodox priest = FSB operative.

That odious characters in the "dissident" Right like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens and their kin chastise Zelensky government for "persecuting religion" for thwarting these Russian Orthodox spies reflects once again their ignorance or nefariousness... or both. What would American government do if a religious organization operating on its soil was revealed to be spying for a foreign enemy?

There is no religious persecution in Ukraine. Ukraine has its own autocephalous Orthodox church - Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), that received its Thomos of Autocephaly in 2019 from the ecumenical patriarch in Constantinople. It is recognized by all other Orthodox Churches and is equivalent to them in status. Needless to say, it operates freely in Ukraine simply because it is the Ukrainian church - the church that appeals to and represents the Ukrainian people.

The Russian Orthodox Church, in contrast, is the enemy of Western Civilization - both western and eastern Christianity alike. It has declared a holy war against Ukraine and the West. It is Christian in name only. It operates under moral standards that are anthitetical to the sensibilities of European Christians. It consecrates nuclear weapons. It glorifies soldiers fighting against Ukraine, who apart from killing and torturing Christian Ukrainians also destroy and desecrate churches in Ukraine.

The Russian Orthodox Church is wedded to the anti-western myth of the "Russian world". It is congruent with Russian self-perception. It is part and parcel of a world-feeling that is inimical to the West and aims for its destruction. It should therefore come as no surprise that its priests espouse values that would scandalize any Christian. Becaue Russian Orthodox Church is "Christian" in name only. It represents an entirely different religion, the Russian religion - the world-feeling that is engaged in the holy war against the West.

Today, I'm over my jet lag and processing the documents I scanned this week. Already it's pretty shocking.

The refugee influx into Europe began as a U.S. taxpayer-funded subsidy. The U.S. government literally paid European cities to take them in, using Soros-backed operations like ARC (American Refugee Committee) as the middlemen.

Yes, ARC, co-founded with money from the Soros Humanitarian Fund, was running programs directly for the U.S. government.
