I think femininity has a lot to do with refusing to rush everything. Sitting in the sun. Drinking your tea slowly. Doing your skincare. Reading a book. Cooking something beautiful. Letting life actually happen.
Lord if you can hear me please do something men are taking shirtless pics for attention, using makeup, lip syncing on TikTok, โlookmaxxingโ, prioritizing partying and canโt make decisions the world has never been more fake and gay.
Free the girls who are with these type of men I feel so lucky this will never be me.
I definitely agree. Your body will make sure baby is fed regardless, but you will suffer if youโre not eating enough. Hair loss, cavities, skin issues and a whole bunch of other health problems.
If you want an intelligent child with a healthy brain and nervous system then you canโt cut. Your body needs high protein, vitamin D, vitamin B12, iron, omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium and calcium (that protects your bones as the minerals pass to your baby).
Being a mother and breastfeeding is such a beautiful thing and maybe if we started reframing it as the most important time for mom and baby to thrive instead of worrying about what other people think of your appearance. That shouldnโt even be on your mind.โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ putting your appearance over your own baby seems weird to me.
seeing a lot of women try to go on cuts right after giving birth, when breastfeeding, to lose the pregnancy weight
this seems like a really bad idea. i think the last thing you should focus on post partum is your body weight
you've just done something absolutely extraordinary. let your body recover and just give it what it needs (and preferably more) so that you can take care of your baby, and give it what it needs (good milk)
there is so much time to lose that weight, you don't have to rush it
i guarantee you look beautiful either way. don't worry about internet idiots. focus on the baby, and yourself
This app is filled with absolute imbeciles commenting on things they donโt have a clue about. Clearly, most donโt even know a womanโs biological makeup post-pregnancy.
I volunteered to care for babies in a mother-baby program several years ago. They provide care for moms postpartum who are struggling with hormone issues and PPD. Most of the country still doesnโt offer this type of care, unfortunately. Iโve seen a lot, and I can tell you this is very much a real thing.
It actually makes me sad to see the lack of support for women before, during, and after pregnancy. Not to mention that only 50% of mothers exclusively nurse their babies beyond three months due to lack of support and education. Breastfeeding and solid father support are the two most important things that can help prevent PPD.โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
I hope women see that ignorant manโs post and choose wisely who they have children with.
A lot of people aren't going to want to hear this but much of the "depression" that parents (and not just moms) suffer after child birth is due not so much to hormones but to the fact that children, especially babies, are demanding and difficult and require us to subordinate our own needs and desires for their sake. The more selfish you are, the more of an adjustment it's going to be.
