@StevenMcinerney The trasition is no big deal…but do “dress up” the new bed with his favorite bedtime things (blankets/plushies/etc) making it feel like home for him.

If you’ve got the ability, I’d recommend a full sized bed, not a single, so he can grow into it through his teen years.
