@prollyrelidium@outbreakupdates No, I think palantir is a shit company, I think what they are doing is unconstitutional as far as surveillance. But if they implement medical ai that actually saves lives then it’s a win for everyone.
@MoundLore When I was a kid I went hiking with my cousin and uncle, we saw this dude on a mountain bike going downhill as fast has he possibly could because two mountain lions were chasing him.
@scaling01 It may take a year for open source models to be this capable, but it will still be a huge model way over 1t parameters. Probably much longer for an open source model as capable as mythos to be as small as 1t parameter.
@librab103@outbreakupdates No hospital has a dedicated dr screening every patient for early sepsis. It’s usually caught once it’s already serious. Continuous AI monitoring of vitals does exactly that. If it saves lives more than what Drs alone can provide then it is necessary.
@djodjeee_ Great story, graphics, scenery, game design. It’s probably the most immersive game ever made, there are few games I replay and I’ve played it about 3 times now.
@anabology They literally said that all biology or chemistry questions will be routed to 4.8, so it’s doing exactly what they intended even if it is ridiculous
@xolandar@scaling01@grok The issue was both capacity and safety. Now it’s just capacity, you can’t even ask it questions related to biology or chemistry or cybersecurity, and they say that will change. But if you read the actual blog it says they will offer it as soon as possible when capacity allows
@DeryaTR_@ZeffMax@carlfranzen I agree it’s crazy but they explicitly stated that all biology or chemistry or cybersecurity questions will be routed to opus 4.8 until they can better tune the guardrails. So even though it’s a benign question they are intentionally swapping all questions in those categories.
@TMZ How can you feel threatened for your life when you have a knife in your backpack and are taunting someone to fight you? Dude is going straight to prison.
@samar19r@petergostev Questions about accounting’s and a spreadsheet, trying to find discrepancies in the numbers, and the implications of the discrepancies it found
@20x_panda@synthwavedd It’s not finding a solution it’s seeing if their new contact with XAi can support the demand of a larger model while still offering their other products, if it’s too pricy then they have to offer it with usage credits, if it’s affordable then they can subsidize with subscription
@20x_panda@synthwavedd They say on their blog that it’s available on all plans until June 22nd, then after will require usage credits until they know they can support a wide enough release and offer its own separate subscription plan.
