The Senate just voted 68-32 for:
1. Doubling of the NSF budget over 5 years
2. 40% increase in funding for NSF’s core basic and fundamental research activities, from $8.5B $12 billion
3. $29B over five years for a new NSF Directorate for Technology and Innovation
