A day as a SALT, days like these are what make this job so unique.
Community visit, I met a client in a farm setting. Client insisted I held a cuddly rabbit, then introduce me to their favourite pony. Coupled with glorious sunshine. Love my job ❤️ #LDSALTday

@Maria_maqs Having been a SEN TA I though teaching would be my route, but having seen the workload and demands on teachers I decided to look elsewhere for my progression. I couldn’t recommend Speech and language therapy enough and they are currently in high demand!!!

@FtSpeechie For dyslexics (and neuro typical), If you have an iPad I highly recommend the app GoodNotes! A game changer, you can download lecture notes an annotate them w colour, and search a word amongst all your documents!! I bought an iPad just for this app, It was worth every Penny!!

@FtSpeechie For phonetics, make a blank ipa chart and laminate it, u can use a whiteboard pen to fill it out to practice.

@speechie_tess I’ve turned to audio books and managed to enjoy, Nelson Mandela Walk to freedom and Orwell’s 1984 ( which I didn’t expect to enjoy as much as I did).
