*Picks and Shovels* is a new, standalone technothriller starring Marty Hench, my two-fisted, hard-fighting, tech-scam-busting forensic accountant. You can pre-order it on my latest Kickstarter, which features a brilliant audiobook read by Wil Wheaton:

@WellsFargo what a shitshow! I got an interest charge b/c I couldn't figure out how to get my account balance to pay off the whole account instead of minimum payment. It turns out, can't be done on your website &, done over the phone, won't kick for another month. Seriously? 🤯
@AshleyJ_Thomas I highly recommend "The Tangled Tree" by David Quammen or "How to Tame A Fox" by Lyudmila Trut! However, both books have been on a lot of "best of" lists, so you may have read them already.
A student I'm mentoring received a SURE grant to work on a project on Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, virtue, & mental health for this summer. I am *so* excited 😁! I'm really looking forward to working with her this summer @usdcas

@wittgencism I know a variety of people who teach this. It's usually considered applied epistemology or social epistemology. I teach some of The Misinformation Age in a few of my courses. Both Sven Bernecker and Cailin O'Connor at UCI work on these issues (& may teach on them)
@wittgencism@uofsandiego @usdcas The talk was uploaded to youtube! The sound quality is not great and the slides have glare, but it's hopefully understandable (I think I should have moved closer to the mic 😅): https://t.co/dFs5CEMTd1
I'm giving a talk on Thursday on algorithmic fairness and Aristotle at the Humanities Center! It should be fun and accessible. Come check it out! @uofsandiego @usdcas
@Danielle__Diver I can't message you (your name is greyed out on DMs for me, but if you want to get a coffee at the airport, let me know (you should be able to DM me)!
I had a wonderful time at NAAPE: https://t.co/mXcVzTV8CL I highly recommend for philosophy of education people! This year, one of my students also presented a paper!
@wittgencism@uofsandiego @usdcas Thanks!!! It was recorded. I will follow up with the humanities center to see where they plan on posting it. I'm also happy to chat; I'm still working on the paper, but hopefully it will be ready to submit to a journal at some point in the next few months.
