For the Dads who always say, “it goes by fast” —you are right.

It does.

My little Rue just turned 3 today and she’s all excited that she’s growing up —and it just tears me up inside like a keyboard economist over Trumps new tariff structure.

One minute you’re helping them take their first steps, the next minute you’re sitting outside a bedroom door, role-playing the “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” scene from the movie Frozen.

The time really does fly by.

If there’s any feedback I can give you, it would be this: the early years are for us to enjoy. When people tell you “they won’t remember this” - don’t listen. Show up every time you can, create weekly traditions, and say “no” a lot so that you can say yes to what matters.

Just felt like jotting some thoughts down as I sit here and tear up over the family albums in my iPhone.

But ya… it’s going by fast.
