Having seen politics up close and personal than most people would, here's the thing I have learned...
Stay humble in your wins, the very people you thought were your friends will stab your back in your downfall...
Karma Cola is bitter
Imagine from challenging @AmitShah in public, telling him, "if you are your father's son, stay put in Bengal after May 4th..." to facing the public ire today #AbhishekBanerjee probably never accounted for a day like today
Also, you may want to read up on the Supreme Court order in S.R. Bommai v. Union of India (1994) case. The seminal case does emphasize judicial review of Article 356 proclamations, but allowed revival if validly imposed.
Your claim of "illegality at the root" (void ab initio) doctrine applies to invalid proclamations, not routine revocations.
Details:
Your core claim, that "the breach of 174(1) permanently invalidates the assembly", is not supported by constitutional text or precedents.
In fact, it was the breach under 174(1) that necessitated the Proclamation of President's Rule.
Article 356(1), allows the President to assume state functions if satisfied that governance cannot continue constitutionally.
Ironically, it was the Article 174 violation (which you have made the basis of your argument), that provided grounds for this, as it indicated a constitutional breakdown.
You may want to read the Original proclamation order dated Feb 13, 2025 first. The Hon' President didn't DISSOLVE Manipur Assembly, it was only suspended, and put under a state of "Suspended Animation".
Article 356(2) allows revocation at any time, reviving the suspended assembly and government without needing elections, as long as the assembly's five-year term (from 2022 to 2027) has not expired.
Revival of the assembly is constitutionally allowed because it was suspended, and not dissolved.
Article 174(1) is procedural and does not cause automatic dissolution.
Article 174(2)(b) allows dissolution only with parliamentary approval, which didn't happen
Article 172(1) gives a five-year term; Manipur Assembly is valid till 2027.

One distraught passenger said it all:
“I lost my return flight fare, lost my hotel booking fund… our whole family has lost 4–5 lakh rupees.”
This is not inconvenience — this is financial and emotional damage of the highest order.
Because of IndiGo’s non-accountability and sheer irresponsibility, people are suffering cascading losses — missed events, ruined holidays, wasted savings, and unbearable stress. Families are stranded for hours without updates while their plans and money collapse around them.
This chaos demands strict action. IndiGo should be fined heavily so airlines finally understand that passengers are not disposable — their time, money, and emotions matter.
@MoCA_GoI सो रहा है?
Dear @PMOIndia can someone please explain, why is it that I can fly from Delhi to London for ₹28,237, around 8hrs long flight.
But need to pay ₹58,558 for a Delhi to Bagdogra flight?
I understand market economics, but this is straight out fleecing the citizens.
Shouldn't there be a price cap??
Imagine someone having to pay ₹60k for a 2-hour domestic flight???
You need to change @MoCA_GoI secretary along with the Minister @RamMNK who has been an absolute failure.
Its Gada exercise👈 A traditional Indian strength-training practice using a mace-like tool (gada) with a long shaft and heavy head, focusing on full-body, rotational movements to build massive shoulders, upper back, core, and grip strength.
A 10-year-old girl, Tanishka Sharma, died under mysterious circumstances at Presidium School, Noida. No FIR for 15 days. No CCTV for 2 months. And now the school says the cameras “weren’t working.” Something is clearly wrong.
Her mother has already lost her husband. Now she’s fighting alone to know what happened to her daughter. Justice is her right, not a favour.
I request @myogioffice, @noidapolice@Uppolice intervene.
And I urge @aajtak , @republic@BBCHindi , @ABPNews to cover this case so this mother’s voice is finally heard.

He is Sam Pepper, a well-known influencer in the UK.
He came to India on Diwali and fired a rocket toward a group of kids, hitting a little girl. Because it was livestreamed, he couldn’t delete the footage, and his followers openly criticised him for the reckless act and expressed concern for the child.
He later claimed that the girl had only a minor cut, that he paid for the hospital expenses, apologised, and that the matter was settled. He immediately left India after that. However, the truth is coming out now.
The girl did not suffer a minor cut but permanent damage to her left eye, full-thickness corneal injury with uveal tissue prolapse. She lost her eye because a gora streamer wanted to have “reckless fun.” The Indians who feel “ashamed as an Indian” the moment some gora experiences the slightest discomfort here should now see how many gora feel “ashamed as a British” for this.
Requesting @MEAIndia to take up this issue officially with the UK govt. This incident must have serious legal and financial repercussions for that influencer.
TOURISTS OR MENACE?? Lack of civics sense among tourists is astounding
One of our readers writes...
"Today I witnessed a tourist openly peeing near the backside of Chowrasta. When I politely told him not to do it, he and his group started abusing me.
As a student I couldn’t argue with a whole group, so I recorded what I could. It’s sad how some people come to enjoy Darjeeling but end up disrespecting the very beauty they travel for.
We must speak up and protect our hills tourism should never be an excuse to destroy our home."

Darjeeling Police have CCTV camera all over the town, can they please take action against these louts

MEANWHILE IN INDI-NEPAL BORDER: British Doctors Detained
Two British audiologists were arrested in India over the weekend after they crossed the Indo-Nepal border without valid visas. This arrest comes amid heightened security following a deadly Delhi car blast that killed 13 earlier this month.
The incident occurred at the Rupaidiha checkpoint in Uttar Pradesh, where Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel intercepted Dr. Hassan Amman Saleem, 35, from Manchester, and Dr. Sumitra Shakeel Olivia, 61, from Gloucester, as they entered on foot.
Saleem, a Pakistani-origin instructor at De Montfort University, and Olivia, clinical lead at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital were allegedly volunteering with the Britain Nepal Otology Service (Brinos) in Nepalgunj, Nepal.
Local police have registered a case, and the pair will appear in court. Officials emphasized that while Indo-Nepal borders allow free movement for citizens of both nations, foreigners require proper visas.
