🚨AMAZING: You are celebrating something the President has no authority to do. The President cannot unilaterally federalize elections.

States run elections under the Constitution, and Congress can regulate certain aspects of federal elections through legislation. But the President does not have the authority to seize control of state election systems because he doesn’t like how they’re being run.

So this isn’t “massive.”

It’s not a policy.

It’s not a plan.

It’s not even a legal option available to him acting alone.

You can announce it.

Your supporters can cheer it.

The Constitution does not give the President that power.

If you believe otherwise, you should identify the constitutional provision, federal statute, or Supreme Court decision that gives the President authority to take over state-run elections.
