@RepNancyMace Because you're too simple-minded to understand you can have respect for both. Do you also have moments of silence for those killed by homegrown murderers or just those you can try to score political points with?🙄
Anytime @ChiefBarnes cries about Lumbee Fairness Act…about Lumbees not going through OFA (@BureauIndAffrs)… toss this cold water 🔽
<Shawnee were recognized about 45 years AFTER the Lumbee…through Congressional legislation 😱>

@SenThomTillis
@Afroyesah Unfortunately, it's not just non-Natives hyping this ridiculous DNA garbage. Certain tribes subscribe to this Colonizer bs too (👀 at a certain tribe here in NC).🙄
@Tahtone We are the ONLY tribe in the nation in this ridiculous limbo and are fighting to right thus wrong. This group you speak of is NOT the Lumbee Tribe of NC. With all due respect, it's irresponsible for a person of your status and influence to spread misinformation.
@Tahtone The Lumbee Tribe of NC have been State Recognized since 1885. We first applied for Federal Recognition in 1888 and were denied due to lack of funding from the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. The 1956 Lumbee Act acknowledged us as Indian while denying us benefits.
