@DoorDash_Help I am not able to place orders on DoorDash and consistently receive payment error on all types of payments. I’ve called in several times but there’s no resolution whatsoever. #frustrated#fedup#DoorDash
Twitter is an anti-compassion machine that stokes our tendency to dehumanize and even hate people we don't know personally.
Four little exercises I use to combat that and crank up the compassion in my mind:
Childhood trauma doesn’t come back as a feeling, it comes back as a reaction. When people look like they’re “overreacting” to something: they’re not. They’re reacting to the core wound. Ex: “You didn’t do the dishes again! What’s wrong with you!”👇🏼
When we’ve been through childhood trauma, a common coping mechanism is over-explaining.

A THREAD🧵:
Addiction is a progressive narrowing
of the things that bring you pleasure.
Happiness is a progressive expansion of the things that bring you pleasure. The former emerges passively.
The latter takes work.
Mental toughness is often portrayed as determination and persistence, but it can also be flexibility and adaptability.
- I can be happy anywhere
- I can work with what I have
- I can have a good day with anyone
You are tough when your mood is not dependent on your conditions.
If your dopamine is tethered to the actions, words & inactions of others you’re in for a rough ride. Conversely, the more your dopamine reward system is tuned to your actions & thoughts, the better you’ll feel (on average). External feedback is key too, but be a selective filter.
@visegrad24 Please be careful. 22 years ago, one of the Russians getting a Western visa was me, along with my family. This gave my dad a chance to start a great business and gave me a chance to grow up without the influence of zombie ideology.
We should not throw such possibilities away.
