Working on something fun for myself, got the base done and now to cover it in fabric before making and attaching it to a hood/gator combo to wear around. Might even decorate it a bit.

Started my newest project, lifesize Irish elk head, and got the antlers shaped according to the national museums Scotland 3D scanned Irish elk skull(thank god cause see if antlers twist and change shape so much)

Gonna do more shaping but got the stability down
From start to finish on my two sectioned theropod heads that help depict the 5yr study I did on a possible theory on theropod lip structure and how it works in tandem with their dentiary where instead of being scaled the skin was more similar to that seen in waterfowl

Itโs finally finished. I did this one because utahraptor has some of the most unique dental shapes in dromeosaurs imo. Also itโs one of the largest. This head is life size measuring up to 24inches(60cm) in length. I also wanted to see how my theory lips fit #sciart#paleoart
Shaping and fleshing is now done, I can move on the paper macheing and then painting it finally. Really happy with how the mouth shape came out.
Hope to have this finished soon.

Happy to see my theory on the soft tissue on the buccal was confirmed in this paper, had a feeling that nodule was a connection point for muscle and covered in soft tissue
