Whether it's from fires, foodborne illness, cyberattacks or measles, the loss of critical talent in the federal workforce has put more Americans in danger. Our CEO @MaxStier summarizes it all in a new piece at @MSNOWNews: https://t.co/7Its6XLX6v
@SeanTrende You would be able to better quantify this, but it does feel like a huge part of the partisan divide is built squarely on the question of "Do you want to pursue greater societal interdependence" vs "Do you want to be more independent?"
Before the doors open…the history moves in.
Thank you to our outstanding @UVA students helping ready the all-new @Center4Politics with remarkable campaign artifacts from the collections of @LarrySabato and our generous donors.
Something big is taking shape.
Coming soon.
Feeling for all the great reporters @wapo this morning. The Metro Section was the only real reason I subscribed. All the President’s Men made me love & respect news. I want to read from smart people who know things & hold power accountable, not random bot opinions on Twitter.
There's a lot of great stuff in today's @LarrySabato's Crystal Ball today, but @JMilesColeman will be getting an earful from me. Central Jersey does exist, and anyone who says it's up for debate is a liar. https://t.co/dHgALnKEXY
What's heartening about it? One of the key solutions is what @Center4Politics does best, bringing people together across ideology to help Americans figure out what works best for them, and how to engage in the political process to advocate for themselves and their communities.
Also in today's @LarrySabato's Crystal Ball, an excerpt by @ProjectHomeFire from @Center4Politics' coming book "Campaign of Chaos," which says that Americans are thinking less for themselves on issues, and aligning in lockstep with their team: https://t.co/V0TLQ1aiyU
The data is sobering, but not necessarily surprising. People are defining themselves in alignment with or in opposition to narrative worldviews offered by specific candidates/parties/media ecosystems, making compromise, respect and understanding all the more difficult.
Exceptional piece from @kkondik and @JMilesColeman breaking down what helped @SenatorHashmi and @jonesjay get over the top in two very narrow VA Democratic primaries.
Hint: It starts at home.

On Saturday at UVA Reunions 2025, @LarrySabato surprised the audience with a special message from @katiecouric announcing their joint commitment to a $50,000 match for the new Joshua Scott (COL '00) Memorial Lecture Fund, created in memory of our original Program Director. (1/3)
We're so proud to be able to honor Josh's incredible life and legacy on Grounds and beyond with an event just like what he would plan for us -- inspiring UVA students and the greater community to get civically engaged with leading voices in American politics. (2/3)
In today's @LarrySabato's Crystal Ball, @JMilesColeman and @kkondik update two midterm races on each side of the aisle that are tightening. https://t.co/rywDjD7b7a
