Today I am learning all about the history of Washington Square Park with the @BoweryBoys & @WSPConservancy. It was used as a potter’s field and contained thousands of bodies. It is also the location of the “Hangman’s Elm” the oldest tree in Manhattan.
The “Police Commissioner for a Day" is an essay competition that recognizes the bright minds of our future leaders!
The winners, who wrote on how to prevent subway surfing, spent the day with @NYPDPC as she showed them firsthand what it takes to lead the finest.
