During #CivicsWeek, student voter ambassadors @usahsnyc registered students to be new voters & we visited @LiveOnNY to learn about organ donation from doctors, recipients & the namesake of Lauren’s Law which puts it on NY’s voter registration form @manhattanhs @Civics_For_All

Today I am learning all about the history of Washington Square Park with the @BoweryBoys & @WSPConservancy. It was used as a potter’s field and contained thousands of bodies. It is also the location of the “Hangman’s Elm” the oldest tree in Manhattan.

The “Police Commissioner for a Day" is an essay competition that recognizes the bright minds of our future leaders! 

The winners, who wrote on how to prevent subway surfing, spent the day with @NYPDPC as she showed them firsthand what it takes to lead the finest.
