The economy is crashing and the President is fucking golfing.
He's hitting balls and I'm taking calls. This isn’t “America First.” It's Trump first. So, Mr. President, get your ass off the golf course and fix this.
Have received several notes from people who have swing state Republican dads/aunts/friends who dislike Trump and have gotten pushed over the line by this piece.
Give it your best shot!

We have 8 days to get this done. We cannot sit on the sidelines.
Let's make sure that, on Election Day, we can say we did everything we could to remind our friends, our classmates, our neighbors, and our coworkers that we’re all in this together: https://t.co/MKvOQGhkS1
This is incredible. Bears CB Tyrique Stevenson wasn’t even paying attention for the first 5 seconds of the final play, he was looking at the crowd. Then ran over and helped tip the ball to Noah Brown
Hey, I wrote about the thrill of seeing Sturgill Simpson and live and in person in 2024, and also following the tour virtually online. It's a historic campaign! https://t.co/bLOOQ1yQXL
@conorsen Not that it matters much, but if you are using that map for inference, wouldn’t that be inferring the wrong points? This would then suggest the WI/MI/PA wall is stronger? Isn’t that all that would be necessary to win?
“It is the grossest, most cynical ploy in an election cycle that’s rotten with cynical ploys,” says @chrislhayes on the Elon Musk pro-Trump PAC’s microtargeting of Michigan voters.
Wow -- in response to a question about Iran injuring US 100 troops in 2020, Trump suggests they weren't really hurt
"Because they had a headache?"
He then says "Iraq" when he means "Iran" and attacks the report who asked him the question

I’ve long said that we can learn more about our home by leaving it and looking at it from a distance — and since my student days, I’ve done just that for about three months every year. My mission: to equip and inspire Americans to venture beyond Orlando. And I’ve dedicated my life to teaching the value of thoughtful travel.
What does that have to do with the 2024 US election? This election is deeper than right vs. left or Democrat vs. Republican. It’s a referendum on American democracy...with our Constitution on the chopping block. And I believe if everyone could travel before they vote, the political landscape of the USA would be vastly different.
I see our world as a place filled with love, joy, and good people who share similar needs and concerns. I believe fear is for people who don’t get out much. The flip side of fear is understanding…and we gain understanding by traveling, whether that be a low-budget road trip south or north of the border or a month-long European vacation. Travelers learn that if a just and stable world is the goal, we need not walls but bridges.
This upcoming Monday, Sept. 23, I’ll enjoy making my case in 75 minutes on a special edition of Monday Night Travel — “Rick Steves’ Travel as a Political Act” — before entertaining your questions live. I hope to see you there...and if you have friends who could use a little vicarious travel, please invite them to join you in registering for this virtual show at https://t.co/xfKMvTAqjS. It’s free...fun...and extremely dangerous.
As a traveler, I'm both a proud American and a citizen of the world — and I've got a few thoughts on this coming election.
This election is deeper than partisanship. It's far more than Republican versus Democrat. In the future, big challenges like pandemics, refugees, and climate change will be blind to borders. They'll be everyone's problem and only solved by working together as a family of nations.
The world needs not American isolation, but American leadership. Not the chaos of Trump, but the stability of @KamalaHarris.
Of course, how you vote is your choice. But if you believe, as I do, in the importance of nations working together constructively, the stakes are really high...and the best candidate is clear. Register to vote today at https://t.co/ghTvEdFIEP — and encourage your travelin’ friends to do the same!
