Be effusive with giving praise. People respond to feeling appreciated. It makes them feel good and they want to do more.

Iโm increasingly convinced that emotional control is the ultimate sign of personal growth. The ability to remain unshaken by the little collisions and inconveniences of life. To avoid assigning false narratives to everyday slights. Thatโs when you take control of your own life.

there are 2 primary types of cultures at scale: indoctrinated plausible deniability, and brutal, truth seeking honesty. The former often comes across kind, but is low trust and leaves bite marks. The latter appears rude, quiet, or uninteresting, yet is infinitely better long term
If you can't sell to the C-suite, you're going to have a bad year.
Every deal is hitting an executive's desk now.
Every single one.
But here's what most reps do wrong:
They show up and ask: "What are your biggest challenges?"
Executives HATE that question.
It signals you didn't do homework.
Instead, do this:
Show up with a POV (point of view).
"I've worked with 50 companies in your space. The pattern I'm seeing is [insight]. How is that showing up for you?"
Now you're a peer, not a vendor.
Second move: Speak in business outcomes, not features.
Don't say: "Our platform has AI-powered analytics"
Say: "Based on what you shared, this could improve your gross retention by 5 points, which at your ARR is worth $2M"
Executives think in dollars, not features.
Third move: Be comfortable with silence.
Executives process slowly. They're thinking 3 steps ahead.
If you fill every silence, you look junior.
Ask your question. Shut up. Let them think.
I've closed 7-figure deals where the executive sat silent for 30 seconds before responding.
That silence was them doing the math in their head.
