Dr. Jacquelyn Starer pleaded guilty to two felony counts of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers after she took part in MAGA's deadly attempt to overthrow American democracy.

In layman's terms, this member of the "Back the Blue" political party punched a police officer. According to prosecutors, the assault “riled up the hostile crowd and contributed to the dangerousness of the situation.” She was sentenced to nine months of home confinement.

She, like so many other traitors, was eventually pardoned by Donald Trump as part of his lawless, mass amnesty decision. She presumably thought she was in the clear and would never face any consequences for her behavior.

She was dead wrong.

“She would very much like to regain her privileges to practice medicine and continue to care for those struggling with addiction, but this is unlikely if the outcome of these proceedings is not in her favor,” her husband wrote to the judge overseeing her case in 2024. “At the very least, she would like to restore her reputation in the medical profession and in the community.”

Thanks to disciplinary action enacted by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, Starer has lost her right to renew her medical license. All of those years spent in school are now wasted because she chose to devote herself to a conman cult leader.

At the time of her arrest back in 2022, she was working at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital but ceased working there some time after her public fall into disgrace. It's unclear if her employment was terminated due to her insurrectionist activity.

She was also the president of the Massachusetts Society of Addiction Medicine and a gynecologist. That last detail is particularly ironic. A doctor who spent her days devoted to female reproductive care threw her entire life away to support a party devoted to destroying access to that kind of care and reducing women to second-class citizens.

When you look hard at a MAGA supporter, you shouldn't ever expect to find a psychological profile that makes any sense. These people are as lost and dangerous as they are clueless.

The board revoked Starer's license renewal rights "after finding that she was among a crowd which stormed and breached the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, and that she struck a Metropolitan Police Officer with her closed fist."

We could not be more supportive of this decision. What sane person would want a lunatic like this conducting medical procedures on them? We encourage every institution and employer in this country to follow this approach. Nobody should have to encounter a violent insurrectionist at work.

These people should be treated as pariahs.
