Just seems weird to me
Play riftbound locals to have good time and learn, play major events to win stuff imo
Ritbound game is meant to be fun but brother just comes in for the prizing only and then acts condescending towards other players and their decisions π
There's a guy at my skirmishes who says he only shows up to skirmishes to make $
But like I swear you're better just getting extra shift at grocery store
Wouldn't say this if the guy didnt sound completely miserable playing the game
It's not even like he wins super often either .
@MomSkyRB in lillia you can play it and just use in reaction to sprite temp trigger
but like at that point you're -1 card for 1 turn while you wait to play it, card neutral and -1 rune on the turn you play it
rune positive the turn after you play it
can be sometimes good
i feel like that's reasonable after buddy didn't know how the chain in a showdown or mask trigger resolution into mask kill with salvage works (the mask +1 stays because why wouldn't it)
like why would i spend 20 more minutes talking about how riftbound works i want to play
and i offended somebody by saying i wouldn't discuss ruling disputes anymore and they should confer with r&r judges if there's a 3rd thing after they were loud and wrong twice
i gross saw 1 bf with 3 units (green/yellow)
4m 2m 1m
i have a 3m unit and a student 2m with 2 stupe in hand to 1 enemy rune up
answer is stupe 4m, swing the 3m blank to kill the 4m
if en garde then i win
if save en garde for the 1m and 2m then stupe puts student over and win
but i was lazy and didnt feel like thinking so i just stuped the 4m guy twice and had the 3m kill the 2m and 1m because it was more convenient in my head. i go bed bed is most convenient option its too late for riftbound goodnight team
even if you had to assign real lethal damage aka 3 to each unit you'd still need 5 to have 1 survive + they could all just die to flurry or bellows anyway
+ 1 jayce sprite can just nuke 3 units for fun
its not what makes the deck powerful even
just puzzling way to rule it imo
not sure why they ever made it so that elder dragon changes the definition for lethal damage such that the elder player can assign 1 damage to each unit in combat and kill them all
would feel less awful if i could swing 5 3 might units on elder and not have them all disappear
I don't even care if there's elder in hand. They could have nothing in hand and be looking for flurry bellows
I also don't care what they say they remember having
None of it matters at all and it should be game loss or opponent picks 7 cards of the 27 and move on lol
Not sure what the proper procedure here is but if an aurora player can just toss 7 cards and get 7 random cards from Mr. Judge we need to change what the proper procedure is
There are people mentioning that elder could have been in hand and they want to get rid of it (1/2)
Brief note before I ask today's QOTD. Moving forward with policy questions, I will not give an "official" answer because I believe there is never an objectively correct answer. Addressing policy questions has always been sticky because it is so much more nuanced than just answering a rules question. Many factors such as judge investigations and additional context are missing in these dailies. More importantly, I don't want players to refer to these "official" answers as truths when a similar situation actually happens to them. So instead, I will opt to be a part of the dialogue in the responses. Will try this out moving forward and see how it goes!
#Riftbound QOTD (Policy): Tron has 7 cards in hand before triggering Dazzling Aurora. In his end of turn, he triggers Dazzling Aurora and resolves it by going through the top 20 cards in his deck before revealing an Elder Dragon. He plays Elder Dragon, and then shuffles the cards into his deck. After resolving Dazzling Aurora, he plays Elder to base, declares his targets for Elder's play trigger on Elena's units. Elena nods and kills her units that were targeted by Elder Dragon.
After Elena's units are killed, Tron looks around the board... where is his hand??? Tron then realizes he shuffled his hand back into the deck along with the other 20 cards. He remembers having 1 Bellows, 1 Flurry, but does not recall the other 5 cards. He calls a judge.
As the judge, what are you doing here and what's the remedy?
