@NoRiskNoParty Cranes are programmed using ladder logic or block logic. Simple data that is of no value. Worst case access to a few cameras and there are satellites that can look into our port better. PLC communicates to a computer on the crane used by maintenance to troubleshoot faults.

@NoRiskNoParty A simple firewall with restricted access between the crane computer and network can isolate the terminal from IoT. Fabricating cranes on USA soil requires a large area with access to water. Cranes are too big to transit the Panama Canal so they would have to be shipped in pieces

@tedfritsch @ImMeme0 Harbor pilots were on the vessel. The vessel lost main engine and can be seen in multiple videos for around 3 minutes. Tug boats escorted vessel from the terminal to the main shipping channel. This is normal practice. Vessels do not need tugs in the channel.
