@LIGAnet_eng Komoly visszhangja lesz ennek az ENSZ-beszédnek, az biztos. Vajon ez egy új fejezet kezdete a magyar-ukrán diplomáciában, vagy csak üres szavak? Mit gondoltok?

Ireland Goalkeeper Refuses Israel Match - Squad Holds Emergency Talks
Ireland goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu has told the FAI he will not play against Israel on Sunday, according to the Irish Independent. The team’s scheduled news conference was called off and training delayed as players continued discussions, with other members of the squad reportedly considering whether to join the boycott.
UEFA has not announced any action against Bazunu individually. Its regulations state, however, that if Ireland as a team refuses to fulfill the fixture, the match would be forfeited and further disciplinary measures could follow, including possible disqualification from the competition.
UEFA has also rejected the FAI’s request to keep Ireland and Israel apart in future draws, saying such restrictions are based on direct conflict and security considerations rather than public sentiment. Sunday’s Nations League match remains officially scheduled in Debrecen.
I think they should just forfeit them and be done.

What is wrong with Ireland?
We are Irish and we are going to Hungary to report on the Ireland-Israel soccer match because journalists won’t do their jobs.
We created the October 7 play because journalists were failing to do what they were supposed to do...
Ireland once again is proving itself to be the most anti-semitic country in Europe. Irish journalists are refusing to cover the upcoming Ireland-Israel soccer match in Hungary even though their JOBS are to cover the news. This is stolen valor. They’re not journalists at all—they’re activists.
That’s why we will be there, in Hungary, to cover the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s journalists’ responsibility to record history, not share their opinions!

Clearly you haven't been paying much attention to world news. If you look past the mountain of pro-Trump content circulating in the U.S. and the handful of countries where he genuinely does have substantial support, the picture is nowhere near “Trump is respected all around the world.”
You don't even have to rely on anecdotes. Pew's 2026 survey of more than 42,000 adults across 36 countries found a median of only 23% had confidence in Trump to do the right thing regarding world affairs. There are countries where he's viewed considerably more positively, including Israel, the Philippines and Hungary, but there are also places where confidence in him is extremely low.
He is quite literally mocked abroad. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney recently got laughs at Trump's expense over Trump's reaction to a teleprompter malfunction. That's just one example; “respected all around the world” is a sweeping claim that international polling simply doesn't support.

🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Visegrad Group (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czechia) collectively backs India’s push for a permanent UNSC seat.
🇮🇳🇭🇺🇵🇱🇸🇰🇨🇿 || India’s UNSC campaign gains coordinated European support from the V4 bloc.
🌐 New Delhi frames the move as part of broader demands for developing-country representation and UNSC reform.
🗳️ V4 endorsement strengthens India’s diplomatic case, though a permanent seat still hinges on wider UN consensus and charter changes.
🏛️ Any expansion of permanent membership requires amendment of the UN Charter and support from existing P5 members.
🤝 India continues to lobby across regions, citing its population, economy, peacekeeping contributions, and multilateral engagement.
🧭 Momentum is growing, but structural reform of the Security Council remains a long-term, negotiated process.
⚡ Europe’s V4 now openly in India’s corner on UNSC reform—pressure on the wider UN system just got sharper.

The Carpathian Eight: An alliance in the mountains – or a supply route for the next war?
Ukraine’s new regional initiative has turned the Carpathians into a test of how far its neighbors will follow Kiev’s lead

The inaugural summit of the new Carpathian Eight (C8) cooperation format, initiated by Ukraine with EU support, took place on September 18-20. Leaders and representatives from eight countries in the Carpathian region were invited to discuss security, energy, logistics, and cross-border cooperation. The initiative – intended to unite nations, some of which do not officially supply weapons to Ukraine but wish to foster “good-neighborly relations” – has turned into a zero-sum game. Yielding no significant economic benefits and failing to address real economic challenges, it only serves to isolate the region from pan-continental logistics corridors.
Is the Carpathian Initiative a Ukrainian or European project?
The foundation for the Carpathian Initiative was laid by Ukraine back in 2001-2003, when it acted as the primary initiator and depositary of the Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians. Initially, the format was strictly environmental and conservation-oriented. Countries of the Visegrad Group, and primarily Poland, breathed geopolitical life and economic scale into the concept. For years, Warsaw actively advocated for the creation of a full-fledged EU Macro-Regional Strategy for the Carpathian Region (EUSCARP), aiming to transform the shared mountain range into a major logistics and infrastructure hub.
Over time, the EU fully took over this regional initiative, turning it into a systemic tool for the “soft integration” of Ukraine. After developing a strategic vision for the region in 2009 and adopting the Carpathian Roadmap in 2019, Brussels institutionalized the project in line with its own bureaucratic standards. What began as a modest environmental initiative has, through the efforts of European neighbors, transformed into a large-scale EU geopolitical project aimed at drawing Ukraine into the European orbit via infrastructure grants.
The September summit marked the latest stage of this project. Ukraine (backed by EU funding) attempted to reclaim its role as the primary “driving force” of the whole initiative by shifting the focus from environmental issues to matters essential for bolstering Ukraine’s influence on NATO’s eastern flank.
Ukraine’s autonomy is illusory, however. For the European Commission, the Carpathian region serves as a convenient geographic ‘sandbox’; the supranational bureaucracy seeks to bind the EU’s eastern fringes together through mutual dependency. Brussels’ ultimate goal is to dilute the agency and curb the independence of countries like Hungary and Slovakia, whose ‘Eastern’ initiatives – such as linking Central and Eastern Europe with Greater Eurasia – are gaining momentum. Ultimately, this measure would allow regional financial and other flows to be fully contained within the EU...link to read full article
