@Dr_Ape_Crypto@Janeajnet@GotechaMark@robert0461@BBCBreakfast@DrHWazir This whole thread is dishonest, suggesting doctors are poorly paid. The fact that most posts are made by people hiding behind pseudonyms hurling insults falsehoods and accusations speaks volumes. If you can’t stand up then keep quiet.
@ItsnotrightUK@robert0461@BBCBreakfast@DrHWazir resident doctors starting have a basic salary of £38,831, they receive around £45,900 in earnings. registrars receive a basic salary between £52,656 and £73,992 depending on which year of training averaging £80,500 for full-time for additional hours worked, whilst training !!
@DoccyD0c@robert0461@BBCBreakfast@DrHWazir It is a bit disconcerting that you don’t understand that not all of those payments are for additional hours or working nights! and AFC Band 8 and above don’t qualify for overtime …
@robert0461@BBCBreakfast@DrHWazir Why don’t you mention pay for additional hours , enhanced hours , weekend allowance, on call allowance, flexible pay premia and LTFT which Drs in training can claim as well?
@2manypeople4me@DrHuw Oh I apologise I thought you were trying to support your colleague’s banal claim especially as you tagged him into your question but the answer remains the same. Sensible AHPs don’t believe that they are equivalent to GPs after two years training. Different qualifications!
@2manypeople4me@DrHuw Did you read my first post to the factually incorrect statement by your colleague, we seem to have come full circle. That is what I initially replied.
@2manypeople4me@DrHuw Interesting so a GPST provides the same outcomes as a fully fledged GP. Why have a training period if experience and knowledge are superfluous?
@2manypeople4me@DrHuw Impossible to say as it depends on the experience and knowledge of the respective clinicians. Are you telling me that the GMS is neatly packaged into a couple of paragraphs in the Network DES
@DrHuw I must be because you have said so!
You are conflating again, your post initially stated that AHPs believe that they are GPs after two years of training. Jobs being advertised is not evidence of this ludicrous claim
