Trump suggests January 6 was an inside job: "The FBI said, 'Go in, Go in!'"
(Trump in fact was president during January 6 and he hand-picked the leader of the FBI.)
Spent a lot of years carrying footballs... now I’m signing them. 😄My autographed footballs are available in my online shop in both Sooners and Lions editions. Which one would you take home?

Trump reminisces about January 6th:
"People went there with love... there was so much love and friendship. It was amazing. People were crying... and those people have been abused"

Sen. @JeffMerkley to Rubio: You have expressed that no one died as a result of the shutdown of USAID. I want to note that it's estimated that over 500,000 children have died from that shutdown. I hope you ponder that as we strive to rebuild programs related to malaria, tuberculosis, AIDS, HIV, nutrition, and Ebola.
This is not how it works. If judges closed hearings anytime parties to a case wanted them closed, there would be no open hearings.
Requests for secret court proceedings should be met with extreme constitutional scrutiny, not rubber stamps. https://t.co/Fcdo4Fwffb
"Everything about this case suggests that it was a collusive effort between Trump and the government he controls. No lawyer for the Justice Department ever entered an appearance, and the requests to delay the government’s answer to the complaint were docketed 'jointly,' but signed by Trump’s lawyers alone." https://t.co/oXU3ir63AU
WARNOCK: Do you still driving deeper into debt to extend billionaire tax cuts was a good investment?
BESSENT: During the Biden admin--
WARNOCK: Look, Joe Biden has been out of office for two years. The fact you keep talking about him tells you everything.
WARREN: Trump purchased up to $1m of Nvidia stock. A week later, he changed US policy and loosened the rules on export controls so Nvidia could sell its chips to China. Now the stock is through the roof. Should the SEC be knocking on his door?
BESSENT: Get your house in order, senator. Lead by example
Today, we hosted Session 5, the final session of the Media & Journalism Webinars 2026, titled “Introducing Media and Press Freedom Organizations.”
We were honored to welcome Audrey Tanenbaum, Staff Attorney at the @rcfp Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, for an engaging and informative discussion on the role of legal support, institutional advocacy, and press freedom organizations in strengthening independent journalism.
Drawing from her work with the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, Audrey shared valuable insights on the legal challenges faced by journalists and news organizations, particularly in an evolving media landscape where access to information, reporter protections, and public-interest journalism remain essential to democratic accountability.
The session brought together members of the 2026 cohort from different countries, creating an interactive space for dialogue, questions, and reflection. Participants engaged thoughtfully with the topic and explored how young journalists can better understand the legal, ethical, and institutional frameworks that protect media freedom.
As we conclude this year’s webinar series, we remain committed to empowering young journalists as advocates for press freedom, human rights, and responsible storytelling across borders.
As a kid I listened to Foster Hewitt and dreamed one day I could be that voice calling games. To be named a Foster Hewitt Award winner is the honour of a lifetime. Overwhelmed to be joining so many of my heroes and esteemed colleagues. Grateful to all who’ve helped along the way.
“Objective fact” is not doing heavy lifting here. It’s crushed by its own definition because there’s no way Speaker (Who Has My?) Johnson can pull up actual numbers to make his statement objective.
Q: Trump says he doesn't care about the midterms, he's got numerous building projects around DC, he's very focused on foreign policy. Do you think he's focused enough on domestic policy?
MIKE JOHNSON: What he said was taken out of context and it's so unfair. This president is more dialed in on domestic issues here in the homeland than any president in memory. He spends more time on domestic issues in one day than Joe Biden did in four. That's an objective fact.
