When fire strikes and evacuations become vital, North Valley Animal Disaster Group's volunteers are among the first to show up, there to assist in the evacuations of animals of all kinds. The Park Fire is no different.

The drip of sad news from the #ParkFire continues. A message from Chico State President Steve Perez said the fire decimated most of the 7,835-acre Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve, including the old barn and old house just above Big Chico Creek.
Park Fire EVACUATION UPDATE
7.28.24 3:00 p.m.
The Butte County Sheriff Office is reducing a portion of the order in zone 312 A to an EVACUATION WARNING. This will include Cohasset Rd, Rock Creek Rd, and Sycamore Valley.
If a monster is coming and you need to draw a line in the sand, so to speak, do it with a bulldozer. What they cleared is a bunch of head-high, very flammable manzanita.
