@KenRoth As usual, NYT has it wrong. Lancaster Co coroner has been quoted as stating there have been no deaths from Measles in the county. Word on the ground is that two elderly persons died, may have had measles, but did not die from measles. Big difference.
You know what shook me when I was Muslim?
The story of Hosea. God tells a prophet to marry a woman He knows will betray him.
She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, used up, worthless to the world.
And God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK.
To pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. Hosea 3.
I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Why would any man do that?
Then I realized I was the wife.
I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters. I sold myself cheap. I made myself worthless.
And God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.”
He said, “Name the price. I’m buying her back.”
That’s the Gospel. God doesn’t wait for the unfaithful to come crawling back clean.
He pays to redeem them while they’re still dirty.
Islam told me to make myself worthy of God.
Hosea showed me a God who pays to redeem the unworthy.
The cross was Him naming the price.
Praise the Lord.
When I was Muslim, I used to ask Christians:
“If Jesus was really God, why did He eat, sleep, and bleed like us?”
And honestly, I used to ask it with pride like it was some unbeatable argument.
But later I realized something:
That question was not exposing Christianity.
It was exposing my misunderstanding of what kind of God Jesus claimed to be.
Because the real question is not:
“Why would God become weak?”
The real question is:
“What kind of God would willingly step into human suffering at all?”
Islam taught me about a God who was distant and untouchable.
But Christianity introduced me to a God who stepped into hunger, exhaustion, grief, pain, betrayal, blood, and suffering with us.
And suddenly His humanity stopped feeling like weakness to me.
It became proof of love.
If Jesus ate, it means He came close enough to experience hunger beside us.
If He slept, it means He embraced the exhaustion we carry.
If He bled, it means He did not stand above suffering watching us from a distance.
He entered it Himself.
Philippians 2 says Christ emptied Himself and took on flesh.
Not because He stopped being God, but because He wanted humanity to finally see what God is actually like.
And it turns out God is willing to suffer for the people He loves.
That changed everything for me.
Because every other religion demanded sacrifice from humanity.
Jesus became the sacrifice Himself.
And no prophet in history ever claimed that.

Dr. Josh Brown is a professor of psychological and brain sciences at Indiana University and the author of Proving a Miracle. As one of the world's leading researchers studying the empirical effects of prayer, he applies rigorous scientific methods to questions most scientists won't touch and most Christians have been afraid to investigate.
In this conversation, Josh is here to share his remarkable personal story and explore what the science actually says about miracles, prayer, and healing.

Real exchange from the Bible scholars over at The View:
Joy Behar says Jesus didn't run around saying He's the Messiah, says it would be narcissistic to do so.
Haines: "When you are the Messiah, it's not narcissism to say it."
Behar: "Yes it is."
This is the most sublime example of “the internet is forever” ever!
Here’s censured liar Adam Schiff pontificating about “lying and indecency” with Eric Swalwell in an instant classic.
Watching the Democrat Party implode in slow motion is a such a joy.
Jordan Peterson perfectly describes how Tucker Carlson’s weaponization of Christianity for political purposes is the very definition of 'taking the Lord’s name in vain.'
EXACTLY what Tucker Carlson is doing now.
Crown Prince of Iran Reza Pahlavi says Christianity is on the rise in Iran; praises bravery of Christians who risk their lives to worship God. ✝️🇮🇷
“In Iran today, Christianity is not fading. It is rising. Quietly. Powerfully. Underground.
In homes, in whispers, in hidden gatherings, Iranians are finding faith—at great cost.
Pastors imprisoned.
Bibles are confiscated.
Believers hunted.
Converts threatened with execution.
Families torn apart.
And still, they gather.
Still, they pray.
Still, they believe.
Because faith that survives persecution is unbreakable.”
Matt,
While questions are always warranted, and there are valid issues to discuss surrounding this conflict, your comment here is totally out of line, inaccurate, and unbecoming of someone in your position — and I say this as an American citizen and a proud patriot.
Your response to this young woman who is in Canada as a refugee because of the oppression of the Islamic regime against her personally, is frankly disgusting. Ida, despite being Canadian, has done more to advocate *for America* than the majority of immigrants *to America* in recent years. If you took the time to educate yourself about this issue, you might actually see that the Iranian community and the Iranian-American community is among the most pro-America groups on earth. They make the case for America when even other Americans will not. Your comments are way out of line and totally unnecessary.
Furthermore, Ida literally thanked President Trump in her post to you, and correctly attacked the cowardly Democrat administration of Jimmy Carter which stabbed the Shah in the back in 1979 and cleared the pathway for Khomeini to come to power which, as she explained, disproportionately harmed American citizens. This isn’t a personal attack on you, or on America — it’s a historical fact and one that I would think you’d agree with given the outrageous tyranny of so much of the leftist ideology and what Carter actually stood for.
At no point did Ida “demand” Americans “fight and die” on behalf of Iranians — in fact she argued the opposite, that this is something that threatens Americans directly. I work closely with this community and I have never heard a single Iranian “demand” anything you said here. Your intentional mischaracterization of the issue and of Ida’s words is something I wouldn’t expect from someone like you.
Finally, what kind of argument is **foreigners** (as if they’re all the same?!) are “demanding and taking and stealing from us. Never giving anything in return. Never saying thank you.” The woman you’re attacking literally thanks the American president IN THE POST YOURE QUOTING. Not to mention the fact that Iranian Americans contribute massively to the United States… why on earth would you think it’s acceptable to speak this way about people who are advocates and allies of America?
You come off like disgruntled and uneducated instead of someone raising legitimate discussion points or asking questions in good faith about figures like Reza Pahlavi. Instead you peddle in bad faith attacks like this one.
Honestly it’s a waste of an opportunity to bridge gaps.

Iran is targeting Christian, Jewish, & Muslim holy sites. Here fragments from a missile fall near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
The Israeli govt has temporarily blocked religious observers. The Wailing Wall has been blocked for days.
There’s no anti-Christian conspiracy.
Let's hope this ends soon so that Iran will be free of tyranny. 🙏
Marziyeh Amirizadeh, a former Muslim who was once imprisoned and sentenced to death in Iran because of her Christian faith, says the current situation inside the country points to more than political tension—she believes it signals a profound spiritual awakening.
As government pressure on Christians continues to rise — including arrests, harsh prison terms, and tighter restrictions on religious activity — Amirizadeh says believers are not retreating. Instead, many are praying more fervently, quietly sharing the gospel, and holding fast to their faith. Reports suggest that hundreds of Christians have been detained, some receiving long sentences, yet the underground church continues to expand despite the risks.
Having once risked her own life to distribute Bibles and speak openly about Jesus, Amirizadeh now believes the suffering could mark a pivotal moment in Iran’s history. “I believe we are witnessing a miraculous turning point,” she said.
Her perspective urges Christians worldwide not to respond with fear, but with spiritual discernment, recognizing that God often works powerfully in seasons of hardship.

Matt Gaetz no longer serving in Washington is an answer to prayer.
Marjorie Taylor Greene no longer serving in Washington is an answer to prayer.
Joe Kent no longer serving in Washington is an answer to prayer.
I pray for more!!
So let me get this straight ...
Joe Kent suddenly quits and tries to damage Trump with a laughable letter claiming Iran is not a threat, although, there's a gazillion tweets, sworn testimony, and interviews where he talks about how much of a threat Iran is.
Then, magically, 5 seconds later, he's booked on every doomer grifter show, and high dollar grifter event in the USA this week where they'll all in unison scream for hours about how much they hate the Jooooooooooooooos and say "zionists" a thousand times per hour, and then say $7,000 a thousand times more like broken records.
Yeah - they were all in on this to try to damage Trump.
Of course, it won't work, and anyone with half a brain can see this setup a mile away.
Not to mention, almost everyone has severe doomer fatigue. It's boring at this point; a cringe, never-ending, shouting match, the sky is falling, pessimistic circle jerk.
Did I leave anything out?
When an entire population has to make videos that say “I am Persian. I am not Muslim” and release it to the world you know they feel they’re not being heard.
The world has to get used to the fact that Iranians do not consider themselves Muslim.

Quick lessons from the Iran war so far:
- The Islamist regime is weaker than its Lebanese proxy, Hezbollah. The regime bet everything on proxy warfare and let its Washington enablers build its aura of military invincibility. It was caught off guard in June. When it tried to catch up, Israel started finishing the job.
- Closing the Strait of Hormuz hurt Iran's non-Western friends and forced Tehran to let their ships through, weakening its chokehold on global oil prices and the economy and taking away its only leverage.
- Europe is powerless; its role has vanished on the global stage, whether in Ukraine or the Middle East. Its social welfare programs consumes all its budgets and attracts non-Western populations whose votes further paralyze European foreign policy and make it as useless as the UN.
- Israel is the fastest-rising global power.
- India and Pakistan are also rising (judging by how they deployed ships to Hormuz while Europe stayed shy and hidden).
- Islamist Iran hates the Gulf more than anything else. The six GCC countries belong to the Western capitalist system and have no place in the East, BRICS, Iran, or China. The GCC's natural allies are America and Israel.
- If Trump is Reagan, Netanyahu is Thatcher. The Trump-Netanyahu duo is projecting as much Western power on the global stage as Reagan and Thatcher did in the 1980s.
Gold Star wife here.
When ISIS killed your wife, you supported going after the people responsible. You understood exactly why we were fighting and never called it “Israel’s war.”
My husband, Alan, was killed by Iranian proxies in Iraq. And now, after decades, the fight is finally leading back to the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world.
You understood it when it was your loss. Now you’re minimizing it when it’s mine.
You don’t get to redefine this war just because it’s not your grief anymore.
This is the moment @gghamari and @AtheistRepublic discovered that the Iranian regime was featuring Tucker Carlson as one of its influential advocates. Their astonishment is palpable!
