@AutoInfatuation Have a look at Lightspeed broadband. Local company from Spalding. Actually speak to people who understand without waiting for hours if you have a problem. Upload and download over 1gb for way less than sky. Very solid signal.
@ProduceSolution@potatosolutions I know it's practically difficult to do, but shouldn't the sprout weight be considered as additional weight loss? Final/ finished product weight will be less due skin plus sprouts compared to just skin. Very interesting project and look forward to seeing the results.
@LukePatersonAg@dgwhoyles It's been like that for 6 months, weither it drops as more people move over to them but as being such a local company that might be something to the ping being low. Here is a promo code David if your postcode is covered.
@dgwhoyles@LukePatersonAg David, can't you get Light speed to you. It's a local Spalding company that do our fibre for Β£30 a month. This is what we get in Terrington.
@BBRO_Beet Gutted. Best boss to ever have, will sorely missed by anyone who has had pleasure to meet. A man who only makes friends, not foes. Very clever man and is able to convey science to everyone! A massive loss to the Sugar and potato industry. π’
@Ondaintreefarm@NFUtweets@nfueast@Minette_Batters Well done mate. You are a breath of fresh air to the industry exclaiming a great message to the youth and parents what we do and why we do it. Good on you
@MikeNeaverson I am hiring a 360 digger for a couple of days next week to fill the cleaner and loading shovel to push beet to the digger. This will hopefully stop the loading shovel getting stuck in ruts. I'll see if the dirt tare drops.
@SpudSlingsby@Ondaintreefarm@ThrimbyFarms@SteveBarclay Have you had increase in wireworm levels? Packers saying it's increasing yr on yr. Slug levels, is the big increase of slug pellet usage solely down to wet yr or CCrops assisted survival? No info on these points. Once these get established land is cocked up with increased risk.
@SpudSlingsby@Ondaintreefarm@ThrimbyFarms@SteveBarclay I do agree with both of you to a degree but I feel some of the options like cover crops are very risky on a root based arable rotation. We are going down a route that has not been researched properly. Examples might include, increased slug survival and wireworm?Virus aphids in CC
@PeadarWhyte Well done. You can sleep better without dreams of bending the elevator or stopping suddenly before an old cultivator tine wraps against the haulm roller. Let's hope the effort is worth it. And breathe.π
@jack_kooreman@Silverwood_Farm We can't plough on top unless we have 6 furrows, that is a bit tight as if a bit slippery we might get forced into the furrow. I don't know how you do it with 5 furrows on lovely linc silt. Yet to do winter ploughing for onions and spuds but soil conditions can only improve?π€
@MartaGibbons@wheat_daddy@Alf6659 Marta, please look at the whole picture before making comments of an amazing cure in this situation. Farmers are really under it at the moment, drainage systems are full = saturated soils = anaerobic conditions. Crop in ground still, loss of £££, big stress.
