Yes, costs are too high in Florida @AlexVindmanHQ cares. Sen @AshleyMoodyFL does not! Moody is a “yes” vote 4 Trump/DeSantis cultural war stuff. Ask her if she’d vote to stop Trump‘s vanity ballroom & slush fund to pay off supporters.@NormOrnstein@vindman_ra98889@FLDem0crat
In one of his final acts, DeSantis calls for vote on sweeping Florida property tax cut https://t.co/0ff6mG1cUD via @politico First version ... more to come later
I’m for @DWStweets (Debbie Wasserman-Schultz) Some good people in this race (Holeness & Moise) & those with troubled pasts. All but one would be a rookie in Congress. I’m sorry, as Trump tries to steal democracy in his last 2 yrs, I need Debbie‘s experience there‼️@RepJeffries
Polling conducted for Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s campaign shows her with 52% of Democratic primary vote, high favorability among Black voters. {og:title} {article:title} https://t.co/0ypkkw8UNo
@iElijahManley yup-big future in @TheDemocrats but @DWStweets is the most exp Dem Congress member in FL. She is not playing Trump/DeSantis games where FL Dem lose seats. In Trump‘s lame duck years, we need a proven leader like Debbie, not a rookie. @RepJeffries told me,he agrees.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz is carpetbagging to FL-20, a black opportunity district instead of running in her own.
DWS is everything that’s wrong with the Democratic establishment. From insider trading to payday lenders.
I look forward to retiring her from public office permanently.
In FL Dis 20,the filers are an incumbent under Fed indictment & others that run a lot & would be first yr Congressman in ‘27. @RepJeffries doesn’t want rookies fighting 4 democracy in Trump’s 2 lame duck yrs. Thus, he’s 4 @DWStweets for USA @NormOrnstein@NikkiFried@FLDem0crat
That's pretty interesting. Let me give you a heads up then. If it's true, what you say about @RepJeffries, then he joyfully sacrificed Black political representation in the South, for his own gain.
I wonder if Black America needs a Black Speaker who would do that? I wonder if we'd like that. Seems Clarence Thomas like to me.
Happy Declaration Day!
@JoanneKaufmanny@GrandCentralPub the NYT book review, NY review of books, the New Yorker & the Wall Street Journal. If you are so in, send me more samples of your work off of “X” to the [email protected]
@JoanneKaufmanny@GrandCentralPub Just read your WSJ review of Liza Minnelli‘s new book. I found the writing superb (clever too: “zzzzz” & “… ms. Minnelli wasn’t sitting alone in her room.”) I read a lot of them book reviews (books too) in places like…
For my Broward County friends, please read this article. Because Republicans carved up Broward into new and illegal districts, decisions need to be made now by those intending to run. I know @RepDWStweets. I have watched her work and lead. There is no better candidate for this district. While I understand the anger of the black community over potential loss of representation, that anger should be at those who created this district.

Trump’s theft of $1.8 billion from the taxpayers to create a personal and political slush fund for his once-and-future private militia violates many essential principles of our Constitution: Congress’ power over the purse, the judicary’s power to decide specific cases, the ban on the president pocketing federal money beyond his salary and the prohibition against taxpayer dollars being used to pay for insurrection. Congress must stand up for the Constitution and shut down this scam. Looking for just a few Republicans to join all the Democrats to do the right thing.

Today, I’m announcing my candidacy for Florida’s 20th congressional district.
I’ll continue to use my seniority in Washington to make Broward a safer, less expensive place to live, raise a family, and retire. We cannot let Trump and DeSantis take away Broward County’s power.
They call Florida “free.”
But freedom means more than a slogan.
It means being able to afford to live here, protecting people’s rights, and making sure every Floridian feels safe, welcome, and respected.
We are fighting for something better:
A fair state of Florida.
As if a $1.8 billion slush fund weren't a severe enough violation of the rule of law, Trump's "settlement" with the IRS also includes a permanent get-out-of-jail-free card for any tax crimes committed by the president, his family and his companies. How much grifting and scamming will it take to get the fiscal conservatives of the GOP to join us and put a stop to this presidential plundering of taxpayer dollars?
John Marck refused to answer Senator @ChrisCoons's question of whether President Trump is eligible to run for president in 2028.
This isn’t a trick question – it's in the Constitution. If you can’t say a president can’t serve a third term, you shouldn’t be a federal judge. 🚩
The House bill sponsor for the gerrymandering bill in Florida could not answer questions about the redrawn maps. It’s almost comical to watch if it wasn’t so sad.
My statement in connection with today’s corrupt Supreme Court decision.
We will not rest until the John Robert Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act is the law of the land.
And we end the era of voter suppression in the United States once and for all.
Ron DeSantis’ new map could dilute Puerto Rican voting power in Orlando and Central Florida.
This is what gerrymandering looks like.
