This is actually a good thing. Public infrastructure are meant to be used by people to improve their quality of life, not as a monument that people can’t interact with.
internet activism in a nutshell
nice person: spends time with children in hospitals, goes to feminist protests, donates to LGBTQ+ charities, stands up against racial injustice
internet person: "ok but what's ur stance on Palestine?"
you guys are so fake and dgaf fr.
hair is one of the most scrutinized things in Nigeria.
it has functioned as a coded, policed marker of identity in Nigeria. & our music space, in the last sixty years, has been the one arena where hairstyles get socially legitimised before anyone else is allowed to try them.
And of all the people who has ever served time in prison, Baba Ijesha, a convicted pedophile who has clearly not shown any remorse since he got out but has been going on media rounds to whitewash himself, is the best fit to speak on that topic at an AGC? If this is really what you think, “repentant terrorists” should be brought to the AGC too. They have also earned the right just like Baba Ijesha.
It takes a high level of willful bias or dishonesty to think that there is nothing wrong with all of this. The fathers of the profession will roll in their graves at these arguments you people are making.
Why are lawyers defending a development that will lead us down a rabbit hole? Sighs!💔💔💔
I did an ideation session with Claude a couple of months ago. A lot of what it suggested was crap; it was recursive, and I picked holes in it until it gave up. I went to Gemini; it brought up suggestions I hadn't even considered, but it didn't go further as it was limited by training data.
It then occurred to me that AI is good for seeing whether others have had similar thought processes in the past and for understanding the boundaries of previous thinking before pushing further.
AI is excellent for research before creative output. Anyone who thinks it creates new things is either severely limited in their experience or very lazy. The human mind is still more powerful than the best AI. The way we make associations over time and space to create new concepts and ideas is unparalleled.
AI is a powerful helper, no doubt, but we must not give up human agency and creativity to laziness and expedience.
I wonder how Palestinians feel, it must be jarring; being reduced to a token or a litmus test that centers people’s ego in a bid to lynch people, especially women digitally, and their moral grandstanding parade.
Deeply psychotic.

Yes, they are supposed to be too "elite" for VDM to address them. This ridiculous post will be what people wil drop when it is Peller next year. I dont blame you sha, it is the razzness at the top of the profession that has caused this.
There's no good detergent in Nigeria at the moment.
It's either they choke you to oblivion or they make your clothes fade and weak.
I miss Ariel and Sunlight so much.
“Everything that made Ayra Starr worth paying attention to — her wit, her wordplay, her braggadocio, her refusal to be boxed into one aesthetic — has been sharpened and arranged into something that no longer needs to announce itself. It simply is.”

The most useless of them all is VIVA
They’ve invested all their money into influencers instead of their products.
@VivaDetergent do better!
Your detergent doesn’t foam.
Nothing has cemented this #OlodoUprising like the invitation of that good-for-absolutely-nothing cretin called VDM to speak to the Largest bar in Africa. Shame on the NBA. A huge shame!!! Tueh!!!
Also even if the NBA organisers are stupid enough to organise a sham of a panel, why would you, as a lawyer and professional, agree to sit on that kind of panel that is basically like sitting at a beer parlour with the village idiot?
