The #WorldCup discourse shows a degradation of moral social contractarianism, moral pluralism and cultural liberalism.
When a society allows the destruction of the unwritten rules protecting freedom, the path towards decentralization is set off!!

@Donna102858@HananyaNaftali They’re working with the Lebanese government to disarm the Iranian paramilitary organization that’s actually occupying Lebanon!! 🇱🇧🕊️
The Washington deal between #Lebanon and #Israel is no way similar to the Oslo accord negotiated between a sovereign state and non state liberation movement (PLO) that had no internationally recognized borders, no preexisting state institutions, and no official army.
🇱🇧🇱🇧🇱🇧
@crtkof The actual lebanese state and the Lebanese army are gaining more power, more funding, and more territory. Getting rid of a state within a state isn't an Oslo trap, it is the literal definition of national liberation.
@crtkof Lebanon is a founding member of the UN with long established, internationally recognized borders and an official national military. This deal isn't trying to create a protostate from scratch in occupied territory. It is an existing state reclaiming its own territory from HA.
@crtkof Your argument is deeply flawed
The Oslo Accords were negotiated between a sovereign state and a non state liberation movement (PLO) that had no internationally recognized borders, no preexisting state institutions, and no official army.
@crtkof Lebanon isn’t a dictatorship where Hezbollah holds all executive or legislative power.
U still didn’t answer my question: did we vote on getting involved in this Iran-USA war?
The ultimate Irony is criticizing the deal from a 'sovereignty' perspective, while defending an Iranian proxy that has spent decades burning the Lebanese flag, bypassing laws, and trying to turn #Lebanon into a Wilayat al Faqih outpost. The hypocrisy is staggering.
🇱🇧🕊️🇬🇷
@BeirutCalling By agreeing to this framework, the Lebanese government isn't "surrendering" sovereignty to the the US or Israel. It is using an international mechanism to reclaim its sovereignty from an internal armed faction.
@BeirutCalling Ur argument is deeply flawed
Under the UN Charter, a nation cannot claim absolute sovereign immunity over its borders while simultaneously harboring a parallel, non state army that uses that exact territory to launch cross border attacks against a neighbor
@BeirutCalling When a government confesses that it has no control over a militia on its soil, it has already compromised its own sovereignty. If Lebanon cannot enforce a monopoly on the use of force within its own borders, its sovereignty is already fractured.
@crtkof Glad you finally understood that a parliamentary vote is not needed🙂
Now you need to understand that we don’t give a F about what Aaron thinks. His opinion is irrelevant.
The sovereign government of 🇱🇧 signed a deal requiring the disarmament of HA and the withdrawal of izrl.
