Introduced year 5 to the ‘Properties of Matter’ last week! I facilitated a student led investigation in an open learning environment by inviting year 5 next door to join in on the fun! I was blown away by their enthusiasm, engagement and discussion 🔬🧫🤩 #acuedu_p

@alanablazevic Be approachable by taking every opportunity to talk to parents. Celebrate the successes no matter how small. The informal conversation is just as important as the formal. Convey a sense to parents you want to be there for their kids and every day is a good day.

Everyone learns and grows differently. It is so important to learn more about our students needs and how to meet them, and help them improve academically, rather than expecting them to be “academically gifted”. #acuedu_p

I love using these reflection cards at the end of lessons as students are able to reflect on their learning. As a teacher I am able to identify where each student is at with their learning. #acuedu_p
