Official action has been taken. I have formally filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding the unauthorized regional lock of my account.

Roblox @Roblox @davidbaszucki, refusing to address a documented administrative error while acknowledging the account's history is not a 'policy'—it is a violation of consumer rights. I have provided receipts, residency proof, and now, federal regulatory evidence.

Roblox is forcibly migrating global accounts to the 'Roblox-VNG' (Vietnam) region without user consent. Thousands of us are trapped, facing total Denial of Service:

🚫 Restricted playtime
🚫 Massive game library blocks
Roblox support claims they have 'no technical capability' to move accounts back. This is false. We have evidence of users successfully regaining global access through manual intervention and billing overrides. Their refusal to do the same for us is an administrative failure and a direct violation of the service we pay for.
We are not in Vietnam, and we are not subject to these laws. We deserve our global accounts back.

From midnight June 30 to now — this is what happened:

Update from tonight's outreach:

Documented cases now include US citizens who NEVER installed the VNG app or visited Vietnam, yet accounts were auto-transferred to VNG region anyway.

This destroys Roblox's "you agreed to VNG Terms of Service" defense. Users cannot agree to terms they were never shown.

Roblox is transferring accounts to VNG without user action. That is not a "user error" or "regional preference" — that is unauthorized data transfer.

Many players who are not from Vietnam but have their account location set to Vietnam are now unable to go back to global Roblox.
They are stuck on Roblox VNG and can’t switch back.

According to Roblox Support, the only solution is to create a new global account on official Roblox website, which will not be connected to VNG.

🧵 HOW ROBLOX LOCKS PAYING CUSTOMERS INTO VIETNAM (VNG) WITH ZERO REMEDY — A DOCUMENTED CASE

I'm Ilya, from Belarus 🇧🇾. I've been a paying Roblox customer since 2019. Over 11,000 Robux purchased (~$140 USD). I own a created group, years of progress, and an active Roblox Plus subscription.

One day, I accidentally installed the Vietnamese version of the Roblox app. That single mistake permanently locked my account into the "VNG (Vietnam)" region. I've never been to Vietnam. I don't have a Vietnamese ID. I'm a Belarusian citizen with a Belarusian passport.

Here's what happened to my account after the VNG lock:

❌ Voice chat — completely blocked
❌ Text chat — severely restricted
❌ Roblox Plus subscription — "Something went wrong" error
❌ Games I played for years — now blocked ("isContentRestricted: true", Error 524: "You do not have permission to join this experience")
❌ Chat says: "You can only view system messages here. Chat is not available in your region"

Meanwhile, Roblox CONTINUES TO ACCEPT MY PAYMENTS. They take my money but deny me the services I paid for.

📧 WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I CONTACTED SUPPORT:

I submitted 5 (FIVE) support tickets:

• #173352963
• #174566368

EVERY SINGLE ONE — including tickets sent to [email protected] (their official GDPR/data privacy contact) and [email protected] — was AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED and forwarded to "Roblox - VNG Support" in Vietnam.

VNG's response (from agent "Karl"):

"When your account accessed the RobloxVNG app/website, you were presented with the VNG Terms of Service, which included a warning that agreement to the VNG Terms of Service would irreversibly change your account to a RobloxVNG account. Unfortunately, we cannot change your account back to a global user. Therefore, to access the Roblox site, you'll need to create a new account."

Their "solution": ABANDON my 6-year-old account, LOSE all my purchases ($140+), LOSE my created group, LOSE all my progress — and start from scratch.

Then Karl added this gem:

"You have the right to make a complaint to your national authority or another supervisory authority and can enforce to seek your right through a judicial remedy."

They literally told me to go sue them instead of fixing a database entry.

⚖️ WHAT I DID NEXT:

I took their advice. I filed EVERYTHING:

✅ Better Business Bureau (BBB) Complaint #24933277 — filed June 11, 2026. Roblox Corporation NEVER RESPONDED. BBB officially closed the complaint as "BUSINESS FAILED TO RESPOND" — a public negative mark on their business profile.

✅ Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Consumer Report — filed June 18, 2026. Now in the Consumer Sentinel database accessible to federal and state law enforcement.

✅ California Attorney General complaint — filed June 18, 2026 against Roblox Corporation (headquartered in San Mateo, CA) for potential violations of:
• California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Section 1798.130
• California Business & Professions Code § 17200
• Unauthorized transfer of consumer data to a third party (VNG Games)

✅ Trustpilot review documenting the entire case.

✅ I even tried emailing [email protected] — their server AUTO-BLOCKED my email and told me to send certified U.S. Mail. They literally hide behind requiring international postage to file a legal dispute.

🚨 THIS IS NOT JUST MY PROBLEM:

Right now, as you read this, Roblox VNG is:
• Banning games that were previously available
• Blocking chat for all VNG users
• Restricting content with "Experience unavailable" errors
• Locking accounts after 180 minutes of playtime
• Killing VPN access so users can't escape

Look at these users reporting the SAME issues TODAY:

@Koa1131 — "my own game is IP banned from my own country"

@Mynameisphat148 — "All of my favorite games vanished after 1 night"

This is a SYSTEMATIC issue affecting thousands of users. And Roblox's only answer is: "create a new account."

I'm NOT asking for money.
I'm NOT asking for my account to be deleted.
I'm NOT asking for special treatment.

I am asking for ONE thing: manually correct my account region from "VNG (Vietnam)" to "Global (Belarus)."

I have my Belarusian passport ready to prove my identity. I've offered to verify through any secure channel. Roblox refuses.

Im honestly shocked After MONTHS of getting ignored by automated bots, roblox Support finally broke their silence and acknowledged my regional issue for my account DCV20K.
They officially stopped the bot loops and forwarded my case for a live human supervisor review. It turns out that providing official financial invoices showing my real location actually forced them to act and set me free from VNG!

To be honest, Im still not 100% sure if they will actually change my account region or whats going to happen next but after all these automated bot loops seeing them finally forward my case for a human review gives me a bit of hope.
I really just hope that a supervisor will look at my actual location proof and have some empathy for my situation
