Buddha was put down today. He was 12 years old, had lost the use of both of his back legs, had lost control of his bladder and bowels, was taking seizures and was starting to go completely blind as well as a myriad of other health issues that were only getting worse. It reached the point he could barely walk.
We cared for him and threw money at the vets as much as we could, but sadly it wasn't enough to stop him from suffering. So we had to make a very difficult decision.
It happened at his home with me and Sue present. He had a last meal of pork and sirloin. I cradled his head as he passed on. We are both absolutely broken over it.
