A serious subject. ๐๐ป I've a garage stash of mon perishable items big enough to see me thru to about 2050... ๐ But thought I'd just share this. Ingenious. Simply add water and they self heat. Taste good too. Not a patch on a Frey Bentos Kate & Sidney but in the event of a power/gas outage... piping hot! ๐
I asked ChatGPT Pro. Useful! It said:
Dean, itโs the hydraulic equipment used to launch Brunelโs SS Great Eastern in 1857. I found the matching photograph in the Brunel Museum collection, credited to Robert Howlett. The enormous structure along the left is the shipโs hull.
The machinery helped push the ship sideways into the Thames. The museum tentatively identifies the two foreground men as Richard Tangye, the hydraulic equipmentโs designer, and Ernest Benedict, Brunelโs last pupil. Their identities are not certain though.
@forwardnotback That looks bloody delicious fella. Retro 1960s nosh at its best. ๐ I wonder if you'd had a 'Sliding Doors' moment 30 years ago, 'Tim's Cafรฉ' would today be basking in the glory of a Michelin Star? Lost dreams of glory mate. ๐
@forwardnotback Ha! Small world. I was doing exactly the same for my other half this morning too. Although it's a weekly task I am constantly surprised that it's already Friday morning again. ๐
@forwardnotback Oh man, that's my idea of heaven. ๐ And a good reward for an unpleasant exam. I well remember the days of the camera going up my nose and down the back of my throat. The anesthetic spray just made it worse. Plus the taste....ugh.
Well done fella! ๐๐ป
Good luck in your new place Tim. I left London ten years ago now after living there, in the West and East for about 25 years. Life is slower in a small town but the pace of life is better. And you actually get to know your neighbours too! I do have to go to close by Cambridge for a decent coffee though.... ๐
@forwardnotback Absolutely spot on! This little stuff really matters. If you can't fix the little stuff, how can anyone have confidence you can fix the big stuff? Write a tongue in cheek blog about this very subject a couple of weeks ago...๐ https://t.co/mBAkj6BJsE
@forwardnotback Ok, I have to say that I am slightly disappointed that you have been Prime Minister for more than three hours now and still no plan to open Lord Woolton style British Restraurants up and down the country? ๐
Dear Seth, thank you for your letter. With me being from the future paper isn't used any more so I hope an electronic scan of your letter & my reply here works I am happy to read that you watch with your brother & grandpa
Live long & prosper! ๐
