@TheJerzWay Tax tail wagging the dog? He’s effectively paying £287k to live in the UK. Yes, Dubai could mean zero tax, but it’s a trade-off: lower tax for a very different lifestyle. Beyond a short stay it’s not all it’s cracked up to be (imo), and living costs are higher too.
