It all started at the beginning of the transfer window, when Barcelona decided to sign Julián Álvarez and let Raphinha leave. The story continued all the way until the final week of the window.

Every report was saying the same thing: Álvarez to Barcelona, Raphinha to Saudi club Al Hilal. Then, somehow, that plan fell apart just like the Nico Williams to Barça deal did.

Then one day, Flick decided to turn Raphinha into a striker.

And since then, as you can see, he has transformed into an absolute monster. A ruthless finisher who gives you everything: goals, assists, dribbling, relentless pressing, and so much more.

If Athletic Bilbao stubbornness and Atlético Madrid’s refusal to let us sign Williams and Álvarez hadn’t happened, we might never have seen this terrifying version of Raphinha.
