Because caregiving doesn’t just affect the caregiver. Behind me is the man who gets in the car, adjusts the plans, helps carry the load, and simply says, “What do we need to do?”

Some days I’m caring for everybody else, and he’s quietly making sure I’m cared for too.

Marriage is more than the good times and cute pictures. Sometimes love looks like showing up, riding along, helping out, and being present when life gets heavy.

My partner. My support system. My chauffeur 😂. My ride or die. ❤️

Caregiving doesn’t always look like caregiving. 💗

Sometimes it looks like a car ride.
A quick stop at the store.
Making sure she ate.
Checking that she took her medication.
Repeating the same answer with patience.
Watching her mood without making her feel watched.
Changing your plans because today is different than yesterday.

And sometimes, it looks like smiling for a picture while carrying a mental checklist nobody else can see.

Caregiving has become another hat I wear, and I’m learning that love can be exhausting, beautiful, frustrating, tender, and meaningful all at the same time.

Today, we ride. One day at a time. 💕🌿

Some days I look at the clock and wonder who decided 24 hours was enough. 😂

There are so many hats to wear, people to love, responsibilities to handle, goals to chase, and dreams that still have my name on them.

I don’t balance it all perfectly. Some days one role gets more of me than another. Some things get moved to tomorrow. And sometimes the best I can do is simply show up, give myself grace, and keep going. ❤️

But this life? I’m grateful for it.

The busy days. The beautiful moments. The responsibilities. The people who depend on me. The people who believe in me. And the woman I’m becoming through all of it.

Would I take a few extra hours in the day? Absolutely. 😂
Would I change this life for the world? Not a chance. 💕🌱
