American Airlines just released “From booking to boarding: Giving customers more control” — promising better self-service rebooking, automated tools for disruptions, transparent notifications, and tech that removes complexity. @AmericanAir
Sounds good on paper, but how often does it actually deliver when flights go sideways?

July 8: partial credit posted as “BDL–XNA (REFUND)” — for the wrong segment.
39 days of AI loops, bot handoffs, and canned replies. Still waiting on one actual human.
Complaint packets sent today to the AR, NC & CT Attorneys General.

Same day at CLT: my wife was involuntarily downgraded from Business → Economy. The miles? Still sorting that out 38 days later.
June 29 chat: your “agent” swore FOUR times they were a “live human” and “not AI.” July 2: same window admitted it’s a bot. (2/3)

I honestly don’t know what to do at this point my flight was June 1st. Still crickets. DOT case filed. Any advice anyone #americanairlines #aa #airlines #flying #travel
@AmericanAir broke federal law, admitted fault in writing, and still hasn't refunded a single dime. 🧵
A 5-star saga in 8 parts. Buckle up — we couldn't, we were stuck on the tarmac. 👇(1/8)
June 1: a 5:16 AM boarding call, then 2+ hrs stuck on the tarmac with NO water — a federal violation.
The reason? "Mechanical error." On a plane that sat in the hangar overnight. On a busy Monday after a June travel weekend. Sure. 🤔 @SecDuffy (2/8)
