@Se_Railway@frimpongpool Of course it was. I’m not sure I’ve disputed that. But I remain unmoved on my position that the handling was terrible. Especially when you consider that, as I mentioned, signalling took out the Medway line just a few weeks ago. Practise should make perfect.
@Se_Railway@frimpongpool And to clear, I’m not having a dig at whoever is sending these messages or at the station/train staff. It’s the seniors and decision makers who need to step up here. The whole service is getting worse and nothing seems to be happening to make it any better.
@Se_Railway@frimpongpool The problem was there were no alternative train routes. Nothing was getting out of London Bridge, Victoria or St Pancras down to Medway & beyond. What is most frustrating is that about a month ago the same thing happened. Only so many times you can say sorry when little changes
@frimpongpool@Se_Railway What WAS in their control was the response. Offering alternate means of travel. Or put extra staff in to help people. 1 guy at Vic who did his utmost but was overwhelmed. Train guard also fab but got no comms. Clearly no plan and there absolutely should have been: basic BCP.
@Se_Railway What you need to apologise for is the fact that you need nothing to offer alternative means of getting home. No buses, no taxis…just people left for hours with no clear idea if they could get home. Delay repay only covers my expense - not the time we all lost.
@Se_Railway where do we stand on getting a cab from Victoria to Medway given you’ve cancelled the 19:10, the 19:40 and the 20:10 with no sign of the 18:40 arriving any time soon.
The number of people on the train putting their feed (both shod and not) on seats is rising it seems and today, there is someone (adult) with their feet on the table. When did this sort of behaviour become normal?
And so another week starts in the usual substandard disarray I’ve come to expect from @Se_Railway. A reduced length, overcrowded service again on the 09:02 from Chatham to Victoria (also now late - no updates given). What is today’s excuse??
@O2 I first reported an issue with this mast on 5 April. You’ve told me at least twice that you’ve fixed it.
Signal terrible everywhere, and getting worse, over last 2 years. What’s going on??
@cmackinlay@Se_Railway@SteveWhiteRail I thoroughly agree with the last line of this. It’s not just the heatwave. There just seems to be more and more excuses recently.
@Se_Railway train to St P cancelled this morning and then the train you tell everyone to get instead is at least half the length it usually is…both quoted as “train faults”. Last nights debacle was “signal failure”. What happened to this new fleet you were buying?
@Se_Railway And AGAIN today (15 June). More train faults so running an 8 carriage train as 3. This is becoming far too regular a thing. And today, a school trip on board which needed a carriage in its own right. Ridiculous.
