short-term, there are competitions for mindshare, users, and developers.

the whole discussion is useless and exhausting.

the framing is needlessly tribal and outdated.

The reason this happens, is cause google builds maps top-down. They start from the satellite and zoom in progressively by stitching together random pieces of information from different sources. The result; maps that look complete on paper (or screen) - but don’t work well.

The best way to map a place, is by working with those who live there.

Now extrapolate this logic to countries like India.
Where densities are clearly higher than England, planning is chaotic and the cities are changing at a breakneck pace.

What you need - are decentralised solutions like @dp_proto which build maps from the ground up. Let people tell you what’s around them, and progressively zoom out and add data.

If you could fully automate software engineering (my job), I think that would be great, since I could then move on to higher-leverage things. Making software is a means to an end, not the end (software is different from art in that sense).

However I have not yet seen any signs that we're going to be able to automate more than an infinitesimal fraction of my job -- not even "this might work someday maybe if $100B gets invested in the area and if we're very lucky" type of signs. I wish!

3. An ads exchange that tokenizes inventory making it freely tradeable across network apps.
4. Asset tokenization to enable recurring fractional purchases for precious metals like gold.
5. Skilling ecosystem to manage certificates and job listings across ONEST and ONDC NPs.
6. Seller blacklisting mechanism to identify repeat offenders across the network.
7. Your own idea for increasing volume on ONDC
