"This franchise has helped me make friends that I never would have met, and got me through really tough times in my life," one petition signer says.

More than 400,000 people have signed a petition urging Sony and Bungie to develop Destiny 3 after Bungie ended active development of Destiny 2 with its final major update in June and shifted its focus to Marathon.

The petition, launched by @LUCKYY10P, argues that after more than a decade of the Destiny franchise, players deserve a true sequel that will "keep the fire of the Guardian spirit alive."

@NotCooby @GarkSavin Was doing my solo flawless on Stasis Titan, unfortunately the dps phases are so short that its a 8-9 phase boss fight.

Even then I ended up dying due to the bosses bomb attack killing me through the wall so, stopped for a little to recuperate.
