@michaelterpin@WarrenWhitlock Agreed. Snowden got a bit of an ovation for calling for Sam Altman to be jailed lol. There does seem to be a growing concern for making sure we do this right rather than just fast. Seems like an old insightβ¦build the foundation on firm ground, not sand.
Your 3 first ones are already highly solvable. Mankind is held captive by crony capitalism which suppresses long-available tech to make life better.
Don't get me wrong...I like AI, and I know it's gonna do cool stuff. But painting the choice as "let us domineer our way to the top or you may die" is pretty callous and tyrannical.
@solari_the According to DOGE they already had been.
Elon Musk: "I call a Magic Money Computer any computer which can just make money out of thin air⦠It just issues payments⦠I think [DOGE] found 14 Magic Money Computers. They just send money out of nothing."
@SecDuffy@USDOT@FMCSA Trucking definitely needs this spotlight and goodwill effort to revitalize. Especially now with diesel prices. These people are literal pillars of society. ππΊπΈ
@growing_daniel One of the handful of ways to touch grass and still feel like some part of our history and warm feeling from the bygone era are yet accessible π
Everybody wants stuff for cheap, but then are the first to argue that "Americans would do the work if they were paid well". Usually referring to construction jobs. A "have your cake and eat it too" scenario if there ever was one.
Its' time the people actually doing the work were properly rewarded for the effort and risk they take on.
My Speedco story is waiting for my tire repair a noELP dude came in wanting a light fixed. Uber simple repair any driver could have done. Tech had it fixed in 5 mins and charged $50. Driver said he wasnβt gonna pay that much since it only took 5 mins. The tech un-did his work and told the guy to leave.
Thing is that "wallets are constantly compromised" just isn't a story. It's honestly not much different than trusting your bank or Venmo or Paypal or any other provider at this point.
So, we'll recommend cold wallets for sure, but otherwise I think it starts to feel like an ol timer and his mattress money...yes he's got valid reasons for not wanting to trust an institution with his cash...but just how much inconvenience and trouble is worth the feeling of control
Can't stress how much of a game-changer this is! Being able to have dApps that allow anyone to fund crypto wallets, onboarding both into the dApp AND cryptocurrencies in a minute or two...@base is cooking so much so fast ππ
