@Pompey_Goals You mentioned 06. 04 was the disallowed goal.
Terry was fouling the keeper. I get being angry at the time, but over 20 years later you can't see the Shearer or Terry challenges as fouls? Both are impeding the keeper because they were never getting the ball.
@Pompey_Goals 2006 - Rooney stamped on Carvalho.
2010 - Ghost goal is a scandal. But so was picking Defoe, Upton and Johnson.
2020/21 - It isn't a red. England sat back and gave up territory, invited the equaliser. Should have played Henderso who was fresher instead of Kalvin Phillips.
@Pompey_Goals 1986 - Argentina were better, would have won anyway. England didn't look good until Barnes came on.
1998 - Shearer fouled the keeper. Messed up by not winning group and being on strong half of draw.
2004 - Terry fouled the keeper. And he let Postiga score.
@sid_yanited@MarkBrusCOS Pep's Barca were beaten by United in semi final in 2008, and were incredibly fortunate to beat Chelsea in the semi in 2009.
This Arsenal were lucky, Atleti should have had two pens. Then had 24% possession, dived and time wasted. Mad they think they deserved anything.
@OllieHolt22 So when a manager isolates players like Darwin Nunez, Harvey Elliott, Tyler Morton and now Curtis Jones we should just keep quiet. People who watch Liverpool regularly can see the direction we're heading. It's on the head coach who isn't turning it around or making anyone better.
@OllieHolt22 So when a manager turns a high energy, high pressing team into a passive side with low levels of energy and oversees a decline which has been going on for 15 months people should stay quiet.
Slot's downturn coincides with Salah, but I'd argue Salah carried Slot.
@DaleJohnsonBBC Wrestling at set pieces is like shoplifting, it isn't punished but it is not OK. By letting it go we now see ridiculous fouls not bring punished, Martinelli v Brighton, Silva v Everton where no attempt is made to play the ball. PGMOL have allowed this and need to fix it.
@albrookshawAFC@JagerbombsORtea In the last six days VAR has watched Bernado wrestle a man to the ground, Calafiori get stamped on, Atleti have two penalties turned down and got it wrong on each occasion.
The standard of refereeing is abysmal.
@albrookshawAFC@JagerbombsORtea Was Trossard on Wirtz a penalty?
Should Gabriel have been sent off v Newcastle and City?
Was Gabriel getting a soft foul v Spurs OK?
Saliba went through the back of King late last week, it was a penalty v Atleti but not in PL.
Refs across the board are awful.
@GrimZN@WestHamPlace Telegraph Sport reported his first arrest on 4th July 2022. You cut ties as he was about to be named. You supported and played him after he was arrested. Bournemouth and Everton acted against their interests, but with more honour than Arsenal.
@GrimZN@WestHamPlace We don't know what goes on at clubs, but we do know that they are more privileged than normal employees. The United stance on Greenwood was forced on them, they did nothing about Ronaldo.
@GrimZN@WestHamPlace There's stuff in the replies showing they did nothing to help the victim. A safeguarding failure at the very least, but the rumours were everywhere.
@90sFootballUK1 1986 was the big missed opportunity. If they had got past Argentina, the tournament was wide open. Jose Luis Brown made an unbelievable clearance to stop England equalising. John Barnes was awesome that day.
@laythy29 This is a genuine concern. Rice and Saka should NOT go with England in March. As many players as possible should avoid the friendlies this break.
Also after a long season and a World Cup the start of next season will be a lottery.
