@SleeperTitanUp Nobody outside of the 10 Titans fans on this app that have manufactured a “rivalry” in their heads would care about this game. The Giants need to worry about beating the Cowboys and the Eagles not the Titans.
DJ Akademiks says the Clipse inflates their sales using a "steroids method" of bundling, achieving numbers similar to Rod Wave, Rod sells out arenas while Clipse struggles to fill a bodega. He claims Drake could easily sell 700-800k using similar merchandise bundling tactics.
First off let me say I understand there are plenty of Giants fans who have a ton of love for Saquon Barkley still. I'm not one of them, but I do recognize why he would still mean something to the Giants fans left behind. But I say this with all the respect in the world - this Hard Knocks fallout of Joe Schoen and Saquon Barkley is making us look even worse, and not for the reasons you might think.
The NFC Chamionship game was hard to stomach as is, but what made it even less tolerable was watching the aftermath be all about the New York Giants and how we were fools to let Saquon Barkley walk over to Philly and deliver them a Super Bowl appearance. This is where I could no longer remain silent.
Daily Reminder: Joe Schoen offered Saquon Barkley $13M in 2023 with incentives it would have gone over $14M, he turned that contract down after expecting it to be in the $16M range. Joe also offered slightly less than that in the middle of the 2022 season. The point being, you may not like the numbers, but the effort was there.
Roughly one year after turning down the Giants $13M a year contract, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Saquon Barkley for $13.5M.
The notion that Joe Schoen did not try to sign Saquon is not only false, repeating it borders on the bizarre.
In the end, Saquon chose a few extra million (would have likely made more as a New York market franchise player) over the legacy of a Giant to play with a better team. Simple as that. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever... until you try to paint yourself as a martyr against a franchise that allegedly treated you so poorly.
His management team carefully crafted his exit to paint him as the victim, simply to soften the PR blow of deliberately going to his teams arch-rival. Unfortunately many Giants fans bought this PR story and continue to bury Joe Schoen and the Giants as being the villains here. It's simply a false narrative that continues to be repeated.
Saquon Barkley is an all-time talent at his position regardless of the uniform. By all accounts he is a good person and an outstanding teammate. All of that does not mean he is immune for criticism. Joe Schoen could have been more aggressive if he wanted to retain Barkley. He didn't value him the way others did. The NFL is a business and Saquon Barkley made a business decision not caring about the impact it may have on his previous team and fans. He's an Eagle now, and I'm in the business of despising that franchise and every player that wears the uniform.
Once a Giants fan, ONLY a Giants fan.

@TommyG105 Everyone bringing up slayton being our leader in yards the past 4-5 years and are not mentioning all the damn drops he has had. Or the need to overfeed Wandall Robinson. Both of them had crucial errors against the cowboys. Its so god damn frustrating.
@iamSauceGardner Whos feeding you this BS? Lol get both so you can see the difference. Pellet is for people who do not want to do the work, set it and forget it. Charcoal seperates the hobbyist from Chefs.
