What Do Palantir, Apple, ACRONYM, Rick Owens, and A24 Have in Common?

Grok, Gemini (Google Search mode), and ChatGPT analyzed my 20-year background, @DeepDigitalCo's projects, and the @BLACK_FIELD_CO ecosystem. All three drew analogies with brands across industries — not in scale, but in how they build products, identities, and systems.

BRAND ANALOGIES

Palantir — complex information architecture and decision systems.

Apple — interconnected products governed by a coherent philosophy.

ACRONYM — engineering where constraints determine form.

Rick Owens — an independent visual language beyond mass-market trends.

Stripe — complex infrastructure made accessible.

A24 — independent cultural positioning and a distinct creative signature.

Taschen — publishing as a lasting intellectual and cultural object.

Porsche Design — functional precision across product categories.

Epic Games — technology platforms that expand creators' capabilities.

Balenciaga under Demna — turning street, industrial, and provocative codes into cultural influence.

My personal brand is that of an uncompromising “Operator in the Dark”: a methodologist, systems thinker, and creator of meaning who rejects mass-market formulas.

I'm Lexx Che (Alexey Cherednichenko), a multidisciplinary systems architect, executive advisor, author, and independent journalist. Over 20 years and 1,000+ projects, I've worked across technology, business, design, media, publishing, and physical production. That experience now informs BLACK FIELD, an ecosystem connecting media, knowledge, identity, verification, education, and distributed operations.

My career includes work with Wargaming, Snapchat, CARiD, SLI Systems, Carts Guru, DelivApp, Grantit, Simbrella, Zeep HK LTD, Just Casino, Moscow Metro, https://t.co/2HZKzMPicy, https://t.co/MIkU6ZnFA8, RUHUB, EarnForex, GOL, GR Capital, NKOR, Bit4You, Finbridge, Kredobank, Skybank, Cavio Casa, Ghostek, Light Balance, Bob Basset, world boxing champion Alex Gvozdyk, and People's Artist of Ukraine Artem Pivovarov.

MAKING DECISIONS IN A WORLD THAT WON’T RETURN TO NORMAL

@intpolicydigest, edited by John Lyman, has published my article on Operating in the Dark — Responsibility Series.

Taleb examined Black Swans, randomness and antifragility. My starting point is different: uncertainty has already become the environment. Decisions still have to be made, responsibility assigned and consequences absorbed without complete information.

The books grew out of two decades of building and transforming businesses, teams and complex systems. Each volume moves the argument into a harder operating condition.

I examines the moment of decision: how to act without mistaking incomplete knowledge for permission to remain passive. II moves from the individual to the distribution of responsibility — who carries consequences when authority, influence and accountability no longer coincide. III introduces constraints: finite time, money, capacity and the cost of choices. IV examines persistent pressure and structural failure: why capable people keep losing inside architectures that reproduce the same breakdowns. V turns toward the operator — attention, judgment and the limits of personal control under cognitive overload. VI reaches the point where crisis is no longer an exception but the permanent operating condition.

The extended volumes reconnect these layers. Together, they form one architecture, not motivational slogans. Anti-Coaching carries that logic into cases where changing the person cannot repair the system.

“A broken structure can outlast several generations of capable managers because the organization keeps trying to repair the people inside it.”

I wrote during the war in Ukraine. Air attacks, blackouts and interrupted infrastructure were conditions of work, not a romantic source of insight. The underlying practice preceded the invasion; war exposed the price of bad decisions without room for illusion.

“Encouragement becomes counterproductive when it strengthens conviction without expanding the capacity to act.”

This is my ninth article indexed in EBSCO. Founded in 1944, EBSCO’s parent company supports research across libraries, universities, hospitals, corporations and government institutions. EBSCO Discovery Service is used by 16,000+ libraries; the company reports serving approximately 96% of US academic institutions. This is institutional research circulation, not social reach.

H. R. GIGER DID NOT DESIGN A MONSTER. HE BUILT A LANGUAGE.

I have already written twice about Alien and the articles growing out of this research.

Since the end of September, seven publications have appeared across media around the world in several editorial versions.

Yesterday, the most complete version was published by Bright Lights Film Journal:

Inside H. R. Giger’s Alien: The Biomechanical Horror That Changed Film, Art, and Design

Bright Lights is not simply another film site. Founded by Gary Morris as a print journal in 1974, it has spent more than half a century between serious film scholarship and independent criticism, covering auteur cinema, horror, experimental work, international film and visual culture.

This is the longest and most complete version of my Giger article. It also contains the largest number of 3D Alien visuals created by our team under my direction many years ago. What is striking is that their character, tension and visual charisma still hold up.

The article is not really about one creature.

It is about how Giger built a visual grammar from anatomy, machinery, sexuality, architecture and death.

“Giger supplied Alien with a coherent visual environment whose internal rules can be sensed long before they can be described.”

“Imitation reproduces surfaces. Influence survives when the underlying grammar keeps generating new forms.”

When Gary Morris read the longer version, he wrote to me:

“The longer version is very fine indeed, fresh, written with authority and much insight. We think readers will be as engaged as we were, and we’d be pleased to publish it.”

That matters to me.

Morris founded Bright Lights in 1974 and has spent more than five decades editing and writing about cinema. He lived through the same cultural period in which Giger moved from the margins of European art into a global visual language. To hear that assessment from someone with that historical range is especially valuable.

An earlier edition, H.R. Giger and the Visual Language of Fear, was also indexed in EBSCOhost — a major academic and analytical research platform used worldwide by universities, libraries and research institutions.

EBSCO surfaces the article under Artists, Artistic Style, Extraterrestrial Beings, Grotesque, Horror and Science Fiction.

A creature becomes iconic. A style becomes recognizable. A language becomes infrastructure.

E-COMMERCE WAS NEVER JUST A SHOPPING CART.

We have worked with e-commerce almost from the beginning. Five of our first ten commissioned websites were online stores. One was an electronics-parts platform with around 100,000 products, 1C integration and an interface that allowed users to select components directly on technical equipment diagrams. In 2009, that was not a standard feature. It was an engineering problem.

Since then, our teams have built dozens of commerce systems across furniture, fashion, automotive parts, gaming consoles, consumer electronics and other industries, including major digital-transformation work for Ghostek. Different markets required different architectures: catalogs, integrations, logistics, payments, content, conversion and complex product logic.

Before the war, we consistently ranked among the top companies in every major category relevant to our work — Creative, Corporate Websites, Portals and E-Commerce — competing against tens of thousands of developers across the CIS. Those ranking platforms were originally created in Russia, so after 2022 they ceased to be relevant to us. The work, however, remains.

One of those systems was TRENDON — one of Ukraine’s first dedicated marketplaces for Ukrainian fashion designers and independent brands. We were not simply contractors: we were co-owners of the broader business, including physical retail and the digital platform. TRENDON united dozens of brands and hundreds of products through marketplace infrastructure, editorial content, product discovery, storytelling and direct sales.

The project received Gold at Golden Site 2016 in E-Commerce, an Awwwards Honorable Mention, CSS Design Awards Special Kudos, CSS Winner Site of the Day and recognition from multiple other design platforms.

Then came the second major version.

Website Motive — a specialist e-commerce research and design-reference platform with almost 1,000 real online stores in its directory — later included TRENDON across Fashion, Apparel, Menswear, Womenswear, Urban and Accessories.

In “The Best Menswear Ecommerce Websites,” TRENDON appears in a curated selection alongside Fred Perry, Selfridges, Diesel, Harrods, Alexander McQueen and other global fashion and retail names.

That context matters.

A Ukrainian marketplace built around local designers was being evaluated inside the same international reference field as global commerce brands.

Good e-commerce is not a website with products. It is infrastructure connecting product logic, technology, operations, content, behavior and conversion into one system.

LUXURY IS WHAT YOU SEE. ENGINEERING IS WHAT YOU DON’T.

CAVIO CASA was founded in 1954 in Bovolone, near Verona, and grew from a family artisan workshop into an international luxury furniture brand. When we approached its digital platform, the task was not to make another premium-looking furniture website. The outside had to feel expensive. The inside had to behave like infrastructure.

We designed the corporate layer as an immersive luxury experience: large-scale photography and renders, complex typography, dynamic backgrounds, seamless transitions and interactive elements. The visual language was deliberately rich and theatrical. The catalog was the opposite — light, restrained and functional, so the interface disappeared and the furniture remained the focus.

Underneath was the harder part. The platform operated as a web application with dynamic content loading without traditional page refreshes. We built a custom SEO-oriented backend around the client’s processes, XML-based product management, and a catalog where products could exist simultaneously across two independent navigation systems — Collections and Interior Zones. Three language versions operated on separate domains while sharing one database and administration system. All of this had to remain fast while processing large photography and high-resolution furniture renders.

After the project appeared online, we repeatedly encountered reduced versions of its ideas elsewhere — similar typographic compositions, transitions and visual structures. We saw fragments copied. We never encountered the same coherence of visual system, catalog logic and engineering underneath it.

We also developed a premium presentation/catalog system for CAVIO CASA, extending the same visual discipline beyond the website into another commercial format.

A luxury interface can be copied. A complete system is much harder to reproduce.

WE WERE THERE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE AR FILTER ERA.

Today, real-time face filters are ordinary. In 2015, they were not.

Snapchat was already growing rapidly, but 2015 became a turning point. In September, it acquired Looksery — a company founded by a Ukrainian team with development in Odesa — and integrated its real-time face-tracking technology. It became the technological foundation for Snapchat Lenses.

The timing matters.

Snapchat grew from about 89M daily active users in June 2015 to 148M a year later — +66%. By the end of 2016, it had reached 158M. Lenses were not the only driver, but they became one of the products that defined Snapchat’s transformation into a camera-first platform.

Our team was there at the beginning.

Working through the Looksery team after the acquisition, we became one of the early teams developing real-time 3D face masks for Snapchat.

Ideas. Characters. 3D. CGI. Digital sculpting. Hard-surface modeling. Textures. Animation. Motion. Real-time assets.

A mask had to work as an idea, survive facial deformation and expression tracking, animate correctly — and perform in real time within the limits of 2015 mobile hardware.

Most of what we created remains under NDA.

But one piece escaped it.

Before the NDA was signed, we created an experimental steampunk mask. It later became part of a larger steampunk collection developed during the collaboration. That first test is the fragment we can finally show publicly.

There is another reason we were ready for this work.

By 2015, our team already had deep expertise in 3D, CGI, characters, animation and complex digital production — a stack still rare among digital studios. Much of this technology then lived closer to game development. We had worked with game studios, including Wargaming under NDA, and visited its headquarters in Belarus at the time.

We did not enter AR filters after they became an industry.

We worked on them while the category was being built.

“An authorial identity stops functioning as attribution and becomes a system.”

Christopher Nolan is No. 26 on Vanity Fair’s 2026 New Establishment list. The context matters: this is a ranking of hard power — the capacity to alter industries, institutions, behavior and culture.

Sam Altman is No. 1, followed by Anthropic’s Dario Amodei and Elon Musk. AI, capital, technological infrastructure, politics and media dominate the ranking.

And at No. 26 — a film director.

That position captures what Nolan has become. Studios finance enormous original productions around his name. Audiences buy tickets before they fully know what the film is. IMAX became part of his public vocabulary. His production methods generate their own media cycles.

Christopher Nolan is no longer simply a director. His authorial identity has become infrastructure.

My new article traces how that architecture was built — from Following, made with almost no resources, through Memento, where memory itself becomes an unstable operating system, and The Prestige, where professional identity consumes the people who construct it.

Then comes The Dark Knight.

“Batman builds identity as infrastructure. The Joker attacks the infrastructure.”

The Joker is not simply testing whether people are good or evil.

“The Joker does not need to prove that everyone is evil. He only needs to prove that identity is conditional.”

But the argument does not stop with Batman. Inception turns perception into an engineered environment. Interstellar stretches identity and responsibility across time. Dunkirk strips characters almost down to function inside a survival system. Tenet reorganizes causality itself. And Oppenheimer asks what happens when scientific identity, institutional power and personal responsibility become impossible to separate.

Different films. Different systems. The same recurring pressure point:

What remains of a person when the architecture that tells them who they are begins to move?

Nolan began with almost nothing and built himself into one of the few directors whose name can move capital, technology, audiences and an entire industry.

He spent his career building films about systems.

Eventually, Christopher Nolan became one.

WE BUILT BEFORE THE SCALE EXISTED.

GR Capital came to us in early 2017, shortly after its 2016 founding. The team was still forming. It was much closer to a startup investment fund than the pan-European venture platform it would become.

There was no mature brand system to redesign. We had to help define the first one.

We built the fund’s first coherent visual identity and corporate website: positioning, visual language, information architecture, UX/UI and the digital structure through which founders, investors and partners would encounter the company.

Then the scale arrived.

GR Capital went on to build a portfolio across European technology. Its investment history includes Glovo, Deliveroo, Lime and wefox; its current portfolio includes Billie, Sennder, McMakler, Alma, PlanRadar and WorkMotion.  By 2022, Forbes reported €200M in assets under management, an $85M first fund invested across 14 startups, and a second fund targeting €100M.

The interesting part is not that a startup became a serious investment platform.

It is that we had to design for the company it had not become yet.

Good branding does not imitate scale. It creates a system capable of carrying scale when it arrives.

30 Days. 20 Articles. 7 Media Outlets. 5 Countries.

Exactly one month ago, International Policy Digest published The Cost of Waiting for Better Information — an analytical article built through the methodology behind my Anti-Coaching work.

Then the graph expanded: AI, systems thinking, decision-making, Hawking, Beethoven, Giger, Kubrick, identity and culture. Different subjects, one method: I look for the system behind the visible object — constraints, architecture, decisions, consequences.

As I wrote earlier, Muck Rack discovered me independently, created my profile and began pulling publications into it. I found it by accident. Its media database is continuously verified by an editorial team and used by Google, The New York Times, BBC, Pfizer, UNICEF, Visa, Spotify, Verizon, PepsiCo and FedEx. I later claimed the profile and passed verification.

After exactly one month: 20 articles in 7 media outlets across the Netherlands, United States, Pakistan, Chile and Canada.

Four completely different articles have also entered EBSCOhost. This is another layer. EBSCO Industries dates to 1944; today EBSCO delivers research content and discovery technologies to 79,000+ institutions in 150+ countries — universities, libraries, healthcare, corporations and government. An author cannot simply create an account and upload work to EBSCOhost; content enters through publications and research databases. For an independent author, four different works appearing there in one month is evidence that the work has crossed from media into academic and professional research infrastructure.

Google’s AI Mode described the result more aggressively than I would: “a masterclass in extreme intellectual productivity” and “he has taken it by storm.”

There was no storm. There was machinery.

In one month I analyzed roughly 1,000 media outlets. Add writing, editing, adapting submissions and communicating with editors. What looks fast from outside is usually a system running at full load.

Media is not new territory for me. For several years I owned and served as editor-in-chief of a Russian-language media group that reached ~1M visits per month at its peak. Details are in Experience and Projects.

A month ago, I had no Muck Rack profile and no international publication graph. Today: 20 articles, 7 media outlets, 5 countries, 4 works in EBSCOhost.

The point is not the speed. The same architecture works in a different language, market and media environment.

All articles are in Publications. There are also almost 15 years of links to my companies, startups and premium websites published in professional magazines.

FIVE YEARS LATER, THE SYSTEM STILL WORKS.

Grantit is a Hong Kong fintech founded in 2017, focused on digital lending infrastructure, onboarding and mobile-first financial services. By August 2021, the company reported 22,000+ customers and HK$370M in cumulative loan requests, while its growth and rebranding were already being covered by international fintech media.

When Grantit came to Deep Digital Co, the product was already live and had a real user base, but the company was still at the startup stage. The next phase required more than a collection of graphics. It needed a visual system capable of working across the product, onboarding, website, marketing, presentations and motion without fragmenting into separate styles.

At Deep Digital Co, we built that system.

We developed a complete visual language around the new brand narrative: custom 2D and 3D iconography, characters, onboarding scenes, motion graphics, storytelling sequences and a modular environment based on consistent geometry, colour, lighting and movement. The same logic connected product interfaces, communication materials and brand expression into one scalable system.

The work was deployed across Grantit’s website, application, onboarding flows and supporting communications. The project later received a Behance editorial feature in the 3D Animation category.

Five years later, the award is no longer the most interesting part.

In 2026, our visual language is still being used across Grantit’s official website and application. The same system we created when the company had 22,000+ customers now operates inside a live product serving 100,000+ users.

22,000+ → 100,000+.

The product scaled. The visual system scaled with it.

That is the difference between producing assets and building infrastructure.

Understanding intricate connections lets you build even more intricate ones. Each conversation with the machines exposes another passage; each publication gives it an entrance. The longer the experiment runs, the larger the labyrinth becomes—and the deeper the rabbit holes go.

Your architecture takes the shape of a personal digital cognitive fingerprint. Across rooms holding different entity graphs, the machines trace connections and assemble coherent interpretations. The passages multiply, carrying the imprint of the mind that laid out the structure.

You publish a text. The machines return an entire network of consequences.

Less than a month into independent journalism: 15 published articles across six countries, a verified Muck Rack profile, and one article indexed in EBSCOhost.

Google’s AI Mode is already assembling these publications into a broader account of my work. The screenshot shows its interpretation of that trajectory.

Less than a month. Fifteen articles. Six countries.

I began working as an independent journalist less than a month ago. @muckrack independently assembled my profile from published work, after which I completed journalist verification.

One of my articles on decision-making was also indexed in @EBSCO, a research platform used by universities, libraries and other institutions worldwide. That gives the work another route to readers beyond the publication itself.

Fifteen articles are now published across media outlets in six countries, spanning different parts of the world. Australia and New Zealand are still ahead :)

Nearly twenty years of practical experience now have another outlet.

WHO IS THE AUTHOR OF YOUR REALITY?

The brain does not present the world as a neutral stream of facts. It compresses, filters, predicts, fills gaps, assigns relevance, discards most of what arrives and builds a usable model from fragments. That model is efficient enough to keep a human functioning, but efficiency has a price: perception becomes dependent on prior assumptions, categories and expectations.

That is the opening through which influence enters.

Propaganda rarely needs to invent an entire reality. Advertising does not need to force a purchase. Algorithms do not need to dictate an opinion. Religious systems, political systems and military doctrines do not need to control every individual decision. They work earlier in the chain: they shape what becomes visible, what feels important, what appears dangerous, normal, desirable, inevitable or even thinkable.

Once the frame is established, behavior becomes easier to predict.

Genghis Khan understood this centuries before anyone had a vocabulary for cognitive science. Mongol armies used speed, reputation, intelligence networks, deliberate displays of force and the circulation of stories about what happened to cities that resisted. The psychological effect often arrived before the army itself. By the time military contact occurred, part of the battle had already happened inside the opponent’s expectations.

Control the frame, and you reduce the need to control the decision.

The same mechanism appears in modern systems at a different scale. A recommendation engine determines what enters the field of attention. A brand determines which associations should attach to an object before price is considered. Political communication decides which events belong together and which should be treated as unrelated. Organizational culture tells employees what can be questioned and what should remain invisible. Repetition then hardens the model until interpretation begins to feel like direct observation.

That is why information alone is never enough. Two people can receive the same fact and integrate it into completely different realities because the fact enters different structures of expectation.

The most effective systems of influence therefore do not begin by telling people what to think. They establish the architecture within which thinking occurs.

And this is where the uncomfortable part begins: most of the frames used to interpret the world were installed long before anyone consciously examined them. Family, education, culture, profession, media, ideology, trauma, incentives, algorithms — layer after layer, each one narrowing some possibilities while making others appear self-evident.

The question is not simply what you see.

The question is: who built the model that makes you see it that way?

And if you did not choose the frame, how much of the conclusion is actually yours?

AI is making a huge amount of professional knowledge cheap.

Not useless. Cheap.

For decades, careers were built around execution: knowing how to write the code, analyze the data, produce the campaign, operate the software, build the interface, structure the report. Procedural knowledge had value because access was limited and execution required time, specialists, and infrastructure.

AI is destroying that scarcity.

When millions of people can access comparable procedural knowledge instantly, knowing how to perform a task becomes less valuable. As agents absorb entire workflows, even knowing how to operate AI will become ordinary professional literacy.

The scarce resource moves upward: judgment, strategy, architecture.

What problem is actually worth solving? What should be built? Why should it exist? Which systems must interact? Where are the dependencies and failure points? What should remain under human control? How do you build an infrastructure capable of surviving changing technologies instead of another isolated product dependent on today’s tools?

These questions cannot be solved by execution alone.

AI dramatically increases leverage. One person can already perform work that once required several disciplines. But leverage amplifies the architecture behind it. A weak objective executed slowly creates a problem. A weak objective connected to autonomous systems can reproduce that problem thousands of times before anyone identifies the original mistake.

This is why the professional hierarchy is shifting. Production is becoming abundant. Architecture remains scarce. The ability to connect technology, people, information, incentives, responsibility, infrastructure, and consequences into a coherent system becomes more valuable as the cost of individual execution collapses.

And there is nothing new about systems thinking itself. Civilizations were built through it thousands of years before computers existed. We can still look at the pyramids and argue about exactly how some of their engineering and construction problems were solved. AI cannot retrieve an answer humanity itself does not possess.

The technology is new. The underlying advantage is ancient.

Systems thinking has moved history for thousands of years. AI is simply making the difference between those who can execute a process and those who can architect a system impossible to ignore.

[Lexx Che @LexxCheOperator]

Early this morning, around 3 a.m., I discovered something I had not built myself.

@muckrack had already identified Lexx Che as a journalist, created an author profile, and connected several of my published articles into a single professional record. I had never registered there, submitted those articles, or paid for inclusion. The system found the work independently and built the first layer of the profile on its own.

That caught my attention because Muck Rack is not a social network or a random content aggregator. It is a US media-intelligence and PR platform operating since 2009 and used by more than 5,000 organizations worldwide, including Google, Pfizer, Duolingo, Zapier, the International Rescue Committee and Golin. After more than a decade of profitable bootstrapped growth, the company raised $180 million in institutional investment. In 2026, it entered the Inc. 5000 for the fifth consecutive year.

So instead of going back to sleep, I claimed the profile and spent the rest of the night expanding what the system had already started.

By morning, the profile had become a much broader map of my work: publications, books, professional awards, LinkedIn, TAKTIKA, art and Etsy projects, selected professional cases, and other external references. Some materials could not be added because of platform or licensing restrictions, but the structure is already far broader than a conventional journalist profile.

What interests me most is the sequence.

First, independent publications appeared. Then an external professional system detected them, resolved the author behind them, and created an entity without my participation. Only after that did I enter the system and expand the graph.

This is very close to the experiment I have been running publicly for the past several months: observing how a person can be reconstructed by machines from distributed evidence rather than from a self-written biography.

The publication layer is still small. I expect the number of articles to grow by roughly an order of magnitude. The interesting part will be watching what happens when dozens of publications, books, projects, awards and independent references begin accumulating around the same entity.

At some point, your public identity stops being the profile you wrote about yourself.

It becomes the structure other systems reconstruct from the evidence you leave behind.

Today, I’m sharing my expanded article in NY Critics: “AI Does Not Need Consciousness to Take Power.”

You can keep the final signature while losing control over everything that precedes it: which facts matter, which options appear, whose voice is credible. By the time you make a decision, the system may have already defined the reality you are deciding within.

What happens when disagreeing with a recommendation requires justification, while accepting it takes one click? Institutions gradually make independent judgment expensive. Eventually, a human remains in the process primarily to carry responsibility for an outcome they can no longer meaningfully challenge.

This is only the entry point. Over the coming months, I will develop this system further. Next, I will outline a platform model intended as an alternative to all existing platforms: an integrated infrastructure for media, social interaction and ranking, university participation, and mechanisms for constructing and accessing information.

Learning will form its foundation. Its architecture will support sustained understanding rather than short dopamine loops. Verification will involve thousands of independent operators and multiple AI models connected within a shared infrastructure.
