Defacing the facts, stat by stat, keeping you coming back, for that rat-a-tat-tat, give your ma a smack-on-da-back, truth, so harsh & cold it makes you laugh!
@JobsNowPR "Tricia Geagan, a vice president in the Boston Fed’s Research department, said the program is one of several department initiatives to help increase diversity and representation in economics."
@JobsNowPR These companies need to be fined out of existence. If they don't want to hire Americans, then get their f*cking company out of America. Am I missing something?
@Cernovich You can thank people like @naval that MAGA accounts get banned and shadow banned. Just because Elon bought X doesn't mean that there wasn't a bunch of shitlibs like @naval that pull the strings behind the scenes.
I've heard founders are doing 1:1 revenue swap with other companies so both can show higher revenue for their next round.
Not sure how true it is, but it is shady as hell.
Please don't do this.
Silicon Valley runs on a lot of trust.
If that goes away, it will never come back. We would like old-school financial services or worse debt investors, who want 100 legal pages of documents before we invest.
@levelsio@grok Can you please clarify to what extent "businesses can buy from each other" "legitimately"?
I understand buying some is understandable, but at what level and scale does it become fraud? Does intent have to be proved for fraud charges? If illegal, what are typical penalties?
It's not securities fraud apparently:
"Businesses can buy from each other, and as long as there's transparency about any connections (e.g., shared incubator ties), it doesn't automatically violate general business laws.
Regarding mutual purchases of services between startups in the same incubator to boost revenue:
This isn't inherently illegal if the transactions are legitimate (i.e., actual services are provided and paid for at fair market value) and properly accounted"

The thing is most people who lie about their revenue on here get found sooner or later
Then there's also VC startups / incubators that let their companies buy from each other to pump revenue, which indies cannot do
So being indie it's harder to actually hit revenue milestones but more rewarding I think!
@levelsio@RandallKanna@kylegawley@tdinh_me Technically VC startups / incubators cannot legally "buy from each other to pump revenue".
That is fraud and it's terrible that it's been normalized. If we put some more of these tech bros in with SBF then hopefully that would help.
Naval Ravikant is one of the most overrated people in the world.
Bro says basic things like “do hard work, there’s no substitute to hard work” and “drink water”
Are all Billionaires this whiney the second a small fraction of their wealth is threatened?
Bro, you invested in LUNCHLY of all things. Your contribution to society is making a bargain-bin rip off of hyper processed slop for kids.
California would be noticeably better without you. Billionaires use every loophole they can to not pay taxes anyway, we wouldn’t even notice you were gone.
Honestly, the thought of all the weird, entitled, talentless, tech bros finally leaving the state is a dream come true.
Why haven’t you moved yet btw?
@chamath@troyhouse Respectfully - what kind of fucking answer is that? It’s like beating the crap out of someone only to ask “how you liking that health insurance huh”
@robbystarbuck@AIScottAdams Facts don't care about your feelings, Robby.
You are factually incorrect. You can't provide anything where Scott said he changed his mind.
All you have is feelings. Maybe you should "think" in the first place instead of using your feelers.
