If Pakistan is so incapable that it cannot track the movements of hundreds or thousands of militants within territory under its control, then by its own logic every city, district and village between Karachi and the Durand Line would become a legitimate target for bombardment. The absurdity of that conclusion exposes the bankruptcy of Pakistan’s justification for striking Afghanistan. It is also shameful that some European politicians still treat Pakistan’s bombardment of Afghanistan and violation of Afghan sovereignty and territorial integrity as a legitimate security measure.
